The pool area and beach were excellent.
Would be nice if they had an outside hot tub
Fire alarm went off three times . Property is old and not well maintained.
Its History and location to the beach
Did not get checked until 5:30 and had a restless 8 year old with us. We then did not receive the call we were told we would get when the room was ready.
A rather expensive room for what you get and the buffet breakfast was cold.
Se we decided to leave Saturday afternoon rather than stay another night.
Great facilities and location.
Families playing football and throwing balls in the pool. Kept hitting everyone.
Staff did nothing.
It was nice that it was on beach.
Room was tiny and outdated. Stairs were a lot with a stroller and kids.
This is an iconic hotel, great location, beautiful beach, great staff.
The pool area is very nice, and the pool bar staff are exceptionally nice guys.
The main bar is a very nice ambiance but not cheap!
In our opinion, the restaurant menus are a bit random, but that’s our opinion.
We would visit again
Incredible experience, from the two outstanding front desk Nat and Andrew to the outside pool personnel. Rooms were great. Hotel very clean.
Now the not so great… Vallet personal (Scott) rude and unfriendly! Expressed concern with no acknowledgement from mgmt! Lunch at Society Restaurant less than a quality experience, unfortunately the only option for lunch….
Checked into hotel and was given very little information. Our room overlooked the road and the building site. Was woken by noise every morning by workmen and disturbed in the evening by road noise. For the cost per night this was just not satisfactory.
Steps lead to the entrance so when travelling with 3 toddlers 2 of which in strollers it’s not ideal. Only once did staff assist carrying them up the stairs.
Noticed afterwards that when Americans checked in they were given lots of information, very accommodating, balls for children etc. Staff would just appear to help them with bags, cases etc. We were not given the same service. Not sure if it’s because we are from the UK but could most definitely sense we were treated differently.
Cost of restaurant and drinks was extortionate!
We wasn’t told about the free shuttle to nearby restaurants until day 4 when my husband went to guest services to book a restaurant.
Pool area is nice, however 1 attendant was quite rude when we asked for umbrella to be moved, food in restaurants was nice but not a big menu selection.
Great gym.
Had to stay another night as child was really unwell and the room again was by road and building site so woken early again from noise. Requested crib which had no sheet! Requested kettle but they didn’t know what a kettle was!
Was very very very disappointed, the cost was astronomical for this trip, we should have felt like royalty but didn’t, it was just not good value at all and I’m left wanting another holiday.
We had a wonderful time at Don CeSar this week. The service was truly unmatched. Servers Katie and Jackie were top notch. We had a running joke that Katie moonlights as a mind reader, she was that on top of things before we even had to ask!
The lobby bar staff took excellent care of our team and clients joining us each evening. Erza, our bearded friends (we believe Dan & Pat?) and the lovely young blonde bartender were all rockstars.
Our only suggestion is to ensure the elevators are all working properly for a business conference. We still rate our experience as 5 stars!
Everything is incredible! There is so much to do, the food and amenities are outstanding!
