Mercure Paris Opéra Garnier

While the Opera is not my neighborhood of choice for Paris (unlike Marais or Saint Germain des Pres, it feels less local etc), this hotel may have changed my mind. The rooms are very small, but modern, well designed, and super clean. The gym is probably the best I've seen in Paris so far, and it has a spa with a sauna.
The staff was incredibly kind. The location of the hotel makes it convenient to get pretty much ANYWHERE in paris, and the hotel was super clean and the AC worked well. Everything during our stay was fantastic.

First visit to Paris so being near the train station was a great location. Its a big city! Hotel room not huge but its Paris and room was big enough. Really clean and excellent decoration. Stayed four nights and breakfast fantastic with a wide choice and they make your eggs fresh on order. Staff very helpful. Its modern and offers excellent service. Will stay again on my next visit.

Rooms were smaller than I expected so opening the door was a bit of a shock, but the rooms are nice, clean and staff are very friendly. Would recommend the location, but considering I was in the top floor, defo would've been nice to have a slightly bigger room considering the price. Also they don't honour anything on Expedia Gold so there's that.

Loved this hotel stayed there before. The room was really cosy. It was very small but that didnt bother us. The only issue was the plumbing in the toilet. Every flush the toilet filled up. We used the reception loo most of the time.

My wife, daughter, and granddaughter had two adjoining rooms on the 4 th foot.
Our keys for the first common door did not work after the first day. We all had to make an extra trip to reception to get our keys updated

This is a renovated old hotel; the rooms are somewhat smaller by American standards, but the views from the windows are lovely & the amenities—particularly the breakfast—are lovely.

Was good but rooms are smaller than what they look.. not walkable to any attractions, but fully connected via public transportation

Not all the rooms come with a balcony- room size is a little small- overall great hotel and excellent service!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We have had a fantastic stay. The room and view was great. Buffet breakfast is very good. Perfect location and nearby metro. We would definitely stay again next time.

We were extremely disappointed with the service and staff at the property. We called a day ahead to confirm the room, and confirm the names of who would be arriving. The lady that answered the phone took down the names and said everything was set. The following day, upon arrival, they suddenly couldn't find the reservation, told us we arrived a day late, and said the wrong people had arrived. They had apparently given the room away, so they finally put us into a small room after an hour of going back and forth on the reservation. Very unhelpful and unprofessional service, despite us trying to make it as clear and simple in advance. Very dissapointed.

The room was significantly smaller than depicted in the photos, catching us off guard. Being tall myself and with my partner on the larger side, the cramped quarters were a real disappointment. Adding to the frustration, the room's location proved to be unbearably noisy, with constant honking and blaring sirens disturbing our sleep.

Upon expressing our concerns, the staff offered to store our luggage to free up some space, which felt like a temporary fix for a larger problem. Later, when we craved some wine, we waited patiently for service, but after around 10 minutes without any sign of assistance, we decided to abandon the wait and head across the street to the bar instead. Definitely will not be returning

Great location - noisy until midnight though due to bars across the road but no issues for us.

Great location and staff were very helpful. There’s no lobby bar but there is a drinks service. Had a few difficulties with room service. The breakfast was good. Easy to get to lots of food and drinks and shopping.

Excellent location. Walkable to most of the major attractions in Paris. Great shopping nearby, Prentemps and Lafayette. The staff is very professional and friendly. Very clean. Great restaurant across the street, CERTA, great food and atmosphere. Very close to Gare-St. Lasare rail station.
