Great 3 night stay
Pros:

This hotel is in a great location for the waterfront.
Room was compact with Beds super comfy and a great breakfast included. Also nice welcoming staff.
We would return to this hotel due to location.
Unfortunately there was a lot of door slamming at night by other guests.
I would recommend taking ear plugs

Hidden Gem near V&A Harbourfront
Pros:

A well appointed hotel with gym, pool, nice modern rooms and an excellent restaurant and staff. A relaxing place, walking distance to the harbour and all the activity. We would definitely stay there again.

Pros:

Great location. Very accessible for the waterfront, especially as we discovered route via car park. Room was lovely, clean. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast

Overpriced
Pros:

The evening staff was friendly and efficient.

Cons:

The aircon in the room did not work and made a terrible noice. This resulted into the room being stuffy and humid and we had difficulties in getting to sleep. Reporting it to reception just resulted in a staff member, although being fluent in Afrikaans, refusing to speak my language and wiped the issue under the carpet. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers and bank more on the location at the V&A Waterfront for rather what it offers to the guests.

Great service, great location
Pros:

I was in Cape Town for 4 days for business and have been perfectly serviced by Nosive at the bar, the whole staff was very sweet and caring. I was also able to be served by Isipho from the kitchen staff who served great dishes.
Will definitely come back.

ok Hotel, aber kein Besuch wert
Pros:

gute Lage nach der Watefront, relativ ruhiges Hotel, scheint auch für geschäftliche Anlässe benutzt zu werden. Sauber.

Cons:

Klimaanlage ist sehr alt und laut und lässt sich nur beschränkt regulieren, Fenster können nicht geöffnet werden. Empfang ist mühsam, Kunde muss Daten selber eintippen, funktioniert aber nicht richtig und dauert ewig.

I had a very pleasant stay at The Portswood Hotel, V&A Waterfront.
Very friendly and helpful staff ALL round! Great facilities, very luxurious and comfortable rooms.
Great location! It is literally a 5-minute walk from the hotel to the V&A Waterfront entertainment areas and restaurants. Absolutely safe and secure area 24-hours a day. Great views and close proximity to all major attractions, etc... I highly recommend this hotel for business and family travelers.
I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK... SEE Y'ALL SOON!!!

Great stay
Pros:

We stayed one night before we started our tour. A lovely hotel. Really clean and staff were all really friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant, food and drink both great and a lovely choice for breakfast.

Localização é pequeno almoço

Cons:

Reservei a minha estadia com grande antecedência tendo pago a totalidade no acto da reserva. Ao realizar o check in fui informada de que não havia vaga e que teria de ficar no Hotel Commodore. Acabei por aceitar dado ser reserva para uma única às noite, contudo o hotel não tem as comodidades equivalentes : o ar condicionado é muito ruidoso, a casa de banho tem um duche com acesso acanhado. Enfim, decidiram por mim e não gostei.
