Great location
Room was small, I booked a queen room but bed was more like a double. Bed was on the harder side. AC wasn’t great and we felt warm at night.
GYM , room cleaning just , every other day , no restaurant for breakfast
Clean room, decent bathroom
AC is a little loud and the bed is a bit on the soft side
The location is great: very safe and close to BART and Muni. I felt safe walking by myself at night on the surrounding streets. I love that it is across the street from the Chinatown entrance. That's charming. My room was quiet. I don't recall hearing any street noise. The lobby is beautiful, very hip. It is obviously an older building that has undergone renovations. My bathroom was updated. The shower water pressure was great. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. I was very happy. One last thing: I kept being worried that I would get charged extra on-site fees, despite Booking.com's promise. But I wasn't!
Tout , confort .. emplacement et personnel .

Alice at the front desk was really helpful and accommodating as I was getting checked in after a long travel day. Great service!
I had such a bad experience at this hotel that I checked out immediately and could not stay even 5 minutes — despite being charged over $650 per night due to Super Bowl weekend pricing for what was supposedly a premium room.
From the moment we entered the building, the entire hotel smelled strongly of urine. The odor was overwhelming and persistent throughout the hallways and into the room itself. The furniture was visibly dirty, worn out, and poorly maintained. The carpet had a strong, foul smell consistent with pet urine. This hotel allows dogs in the rooms, and it was very clear the carpets have been repeatedly soiled and not properly cleaned or replaced.
The conditions were so unsanitary that I was genuinely afraid to unpack my bags or even touch the bed due to hygiene concerns, including the possibility of bedbugs given the overall state of the room.
On top of that, the windows are fitted with old-style window air conditioning units, and the windows do not close properly. Because the room is directly above a busy street, the noise was constant and extremely loud. Between traffic and street noise, sleep would have been impossible. Again, this was marketed and priced as a premium room, which made the situation even more frustrating.
This was not a minor inconvenience — it was completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one charging luxury prices. I would strongly advise others to avoid this property, especially during high-demand weekends, unless major improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, and basic room standards.
We literally had to walk out and checked out immediately even when they charged us the full length of our 3 night planned reservation.
We have stayed at the Triton many times over the years, starting around 2004. The location is absolutely perfect if you just want to park the car and wander around San Francisco. The rooms are clean and classy, the price is very reasonable. It is an older hotel, so (in our room) the plugs for phone charging were not next to the bed. The amenities were good, the windows must be insulated because the noise level was really low. The faucet on our bathroom sink was loose, so we had to use two hands to use it (one on the spout, one on the handle). Still, all in all, it is a great value and we will stay again.
Beautiful hotel centrally located in the city! Staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs! Will definitely come again.
I really enjoyed my stay at The Triton. Alice at the front desk was extremely friendly and made my check in and experience really personable and great.
I arrived just in time for wine hour and the free breakfast was pretty decent also.
I will def stay here again.
I was super excited to stay at Hotel Triton for a couple days, but due to flight cancellations was not able to make the trip happen. The management staff (Saba) was amazing in helping to find a solution and make things right. I will most definetly be staying here next time I am in SF. Thank you!
