The check-in staff was friendly.
The front desk phone was always busy, they always pick up the phone and ask me to wait because there are other customers who are in front of me.
Also they agreed to send new TV remote batteries to my room, but they never did.
And no one could give me a clear answer whether the just happen to not have run out of complementary shower caps or they simply don’t offer them.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They kept their cool during the power outage and did their best to calm anxious visitors.
When the power went out and I went to the first floor to pick up our DoorDash, I discovered that the stairs lead to an outdoor door labeled emergency exit only. I had to go outside and walk around the building to get to the front desk. The emergency label was intimidating so I tried several stairwells before having the courage to walk outside. It also would have been helpful to have had the ability to notify all the hotel guests why the electricity was out and the expected length of the outage.
The facility is located conveniently and it’s in good condition.
The parking is expensive and not included in rates
Close to the airport.
Wish I would have know parking was extra. I would not have picked up my rental yet. Parking was confusing. The store inside that had essentials for travel was closed. There was no indication there was room service in the room.
Cost of parking
Hate to say it, but this hotel room was not nice at all. I'm giving 2 out of 5 only because the lobby bar was nice. I don't think I've ever seen a property more in need of a renovation than this one. The carpets, bedding, decor were all REALLY dated. If that were the only problem, I could live with it. However, the bathroom was dirty. There was hair all over the floor and a used bar of soap in the shower. This is not what I expect from a Doubletree property.
Very helpful staff, & amenities
Expense, but it was worth it overall, for a convention
Lovely staff
And atmosphere
Nothing
Location convenient but overall disappointing . The hallway carpets were dirty and stained and our room was the same. Obviously have not been cleaned for years . Bathrooms were clean , beds were ok quality. We use to stay here many times back in the early 2000’s and it was really nice. Needs updating. I realize now the price reflects the overall quality . Complained to manager - he said many people complain and corporate is aware - but yet nothing is done .
The next time I’ll book a room at the Motel 6. At one time, this was a great hotel. The carpet had stains all over it and was very dirty. The beds and bathroom were fine, along with the lobby area. We complained to the desk person in the lobby. He said he has received several complaints and passes on them along to management, but he said they don’t seem to care and do nothing about making any improvements. Too bad, I’m no longer a
customer of the DoubleTree, San Jose, CA.
Proximity to the airport with shuttle service. We got there Thanksgiving evening and the bar was open and the food was delish. I dont recall the bartenders name, he was there the last time we came but he gave excellent service.
It could use better pillows
Great service
