Location is great, but lack of communication re: parking fee AND Construction was inconsiderate.
Pros:

It’s a great location, near U of MT, and easy access to I-90 . The restaurant, Finn’s , was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were delicious.

Cons:

It was under extensive construction & confusing to find main entrance, and navigate through the building avoiding closed areas. The most off-putting was a $20.00 charge to park in the parking lot. What motel without covered parking charges $20, and without informing guests of the charge???

Worth the view, but not the room
Pros:

Everyone was super nice and friendly from checkin to checkout -- even the janitor was super nice! I loved the view and sound of the river. We booked a riverside view and it was as expected. The food was also fantastic. My hubs ordered dinner and breakfast and both were a fair value and excellent tasting, too.

Cons:

The carpeting was wrinkled and dirty, I didn't want to put my bare feet on it. The furniture was mismatched -- like four different sets of furniture made up our room. I didn't like the sneak charge of $20 parking. This is the first time in my life I've paid for parking at a hotel and it wasn't listed in the booking information.

Great Location, Great Staff, Great Restaurant
Pros:

Great experience. The staff was knowledgable. Harry, Katie, and Analissa were all very kind and helpful.

The rooms were large. Carpeting was a bit old, but it looks like they are renovating. Restaurant was awesome. Great locally sourced burgers.

Awesome location in town but far enough into nature to feel peaceful. Bonnie and Ellie in the restaurant were awesome servers as well.

Nobody answers the phone
Pros:

It is 11:30am on a Monday (10/13) and I've been trying to call the Doubletree Hilton in Missoula regarding a reservation for my company and cannot get through. I've called the 406-728-3100 number that's on my reservation email (and I double checked it's the same # on the website) about 5 times this morning. It rings and rings and rings and then finally just beeps and hangs up on me. No voicemail and apparently nobody working there. How am I supposed to get a hold of you?!?!?!?!

Beautiful and relaxing.
Pros:

Beautiful view of the river and mountains. We could open the sliding door right out onto the river and enjoy the sounds of the water running by. The furnishings were comfortable. The staff were friendly. Even with all the construction and an event in town, the staff was welcoming and didn’t seem flustered. The building was clean and well maintained.

Cons:

It’s currently undergoing renovations so there was the construction to deal with. The construction limited the parking and several patrons had to park across the street. It wasn’t like that the last time we stayed but it wasn’t being renovated then.

Pros:

Paid extra for views and pool and the hotel was under major renovation and was unable to enjoy either. They should have noted amenities were not available as there were other hotels in the area for less money that had them.

Check to see if construction is complete.
Pros:

The hotel is fine. But it is being rebuilt. There is a large construction project on site and within the hotel. It's intrusive. The hotel management decided to charge for parking, which is really odd and annoying. Otherwise the hotel itself is fine and has a view to the river. It's very close to the city and the university.

Pros:

Worst customer service I have experienced in the restaurant bar and our group spent approx. $1,000 for dinner and drinks.

Room not cleaned thoroughly - stains on counter by coffee maker.

$20/night parking fee. Not told about this and have never seen this before in Missoula.

Property was under construction and we were not notified of this. No notification that the pool was not available during the time.

Remodeled rooms are nicely done.

Pros:

The room itself was nice. The hotel is under construction and the pool has been filled in which was never conveyed. We paid a little over $350 for one night and did not have access to our patio because construction trailers were parked outside our room. We were at the end of the hall which was tarped and taped off like Dexters kill room.

On top of that they asked if we drove there…of course we did. So we were charged $20 on top of the expensive room to be able to park our vehicle in the hotel parking lot.

Finn and Porter (restaurant hotel) didn’t disappoint though.

Good. We enjoyed our stay
Pros:

Nice room. Nice location

Cons:

We specifically asked for a room on the second floor when we booked on the phone, but we were put on the first floor.

Pros:

This is a motel 6 not a double tree. Can’t believe it’s part of their chain. No lobby no coffee no gym Bed and bath is all you get
Got charged for parking and didn’t have a car we flew in Had to call on that. Better choices in town than this property
