Pleasently Surprised
Pros:

I knew this was not a new property when I booked my stay so I was prepared for an OK stay af best. I was in town for a guided fishing trip on the Columbia River and the location of the hotel played a large part in my decision to stay here and I’m glad I did.
Check-in was efficient and pleasant. The young lady that helped me was incredibly helpful and obviously knew what she was doing.
My room was large, clean, had a comfortable bed, a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, a small balcony, and a view of the river.
When I checked in, I was reminded that breakfast was included in my stay and was open at 6:00am. I was meeting my fishing party at 6:30 so this presented a problem. I arrived at the restaurant before they opened. The woman working there told me I was just a few minutes early and coffee wasn’t quite ready. I told her I was going fishing and wondered if I could get breakfast to-go as I was limited on time. She said sure and took my order to the kitchen. 10 minutes later I had my breakfast and a small thermos of fresh coffee and off I went. When I got to the boat I opened my to-go container and enjoyed one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had, accompanied by a cup of fresh fruit and small container of Tabasco for my burrito.
Fishing wasn’t great, but my experience at this vintage Portland landmark was top shelf and made my getaway better than I could have possibly planned.
Great job guys. Thank you.

Good times by the river
Pros:

Location is good, next to freeway but still quiet. Being next to the river brings such peace. Beautiful morning views of the river. I liked having a mini fridge and microwave. Beds are comfy and liked having two sinks. Free parking is a plus! We were on site when a fire ocurred and the front desk called to evacuate and also security was going around knocking on doors to evacuate. Despite this fire event, staff kept us informed and relocated us to a new unaffected wing. It’s unfortunate this happened to the property, hopefully the affected wing opens soon. We would definetely come back! Thanks to Bailey at reception for all her help!

Great Place to Stay!
Pros:

I had a great time while is visiting. This location was perfect. There are stores and restaurants near by as well as an onsite restaurant. There is quick access to the freeway and no matter where I was going it all seemed to take about the same amount of time.
The hotel is right in the river and it has absolutely stunning views.
My room was clean and comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly.

A little pricey for how old the hotel is. But the staff was amazing Al
Pros:

The staff definitely! So helpful and friendly the whole weekend.

Cons:

The beds were very uncomfortable and too old and soft. The hotel needs updating but when our room didn’t meet our expectations with the air not working, bad smell in the bathroom, they moved us right away and the room was much better.

Wonderful
Pros:

We had a lovely time. The first day was rough because we lost power in the entire hotel for almost a whole full day. The staff was wonderful and made every accomodation possible and all our needs were met. We were still able to do our dance competition eventually and everything turned out great. Hotel was beautiful and clean.

Great Stay
Pros:

There was an unfortunate extended power outage beyond their control and we were there for a youth competition. The staff was wonderful and helpful the entire time. I found them always accessible and eager to help. The dining facility and staff were great too. My daughter had a great time and is looking forward to returning next year.

Nice hotel, great beds. We’ve stayed here 4 times now and like that it is located close to I-5 so we can get to our family in Hazel Dell while still enjoying the spots in Portland.

Truck parking and pet friendly
Pros:

Means my family were moving from ca to Washington. We also had a 20ft U-Haul truck pulling a trailer. We needed a spot that had spots for parking trucks with trailer as long as pet friendly. This location has a big parking lot and can accommodate big trucks
