It was a very hot day and the A/C in the room kept it cool. The complementary breakfast cooked to order was very good.
There is no A/C in the halls or elevator, which I think a modern hotel should have

Atmosphere was Great staff Kind hospitality was excellent.. The Restaurant Staff Were Resilient navigated through the challenges with food shortage.. Cooks weren't top of all.orders.. Food was great.. My 2 complaints is the pool area and drinking achohol and children don't mix.. No.babies in Diapers.. should be allowed and no big Floaters.. Please pressure wash the overhead.entries and alot of Spider webs over both hotel entries.. I would stay again....
I really enjoyed my stay. Very friendly atmosphere, all of the hotel staff were helpful and kind.
It’s a decent value for Portland - having larger rooms than many hotels. But the finishes are dated and the carpets have seen better days. Still, for a larger room that is pet friendly, at a decent price for Portland, we will return when attending events at the Expo Center.
It’s a little dated and a long walk from the rooms to the dining area.

The front desk check in was very easy and friendly. Made sure I got a room that was quiet. Answered all my questions.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the convenient location and the great amenities. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would happily stay here again. I truly do see this place as an hidden secret, like an oasis. Holiday Inn on the Columbia River has an Unimaginable staff, their are beautiful hearts in every direction and impeccable customer service. This isn’t my first time to their rodeo. They are nonstop impeccability. The atmosphere is wonderful. I started singing at this very hotel back in the 90s. When it was red lion and they had Maxi’s It was a five star hotel, it was booming and alive! Today it’s left with many of the beauties that it originated in.
It's true that some of the grounds aesthetics, on the outside, are not completely up to par. But then again this is a 2.5 star hotel with five star service and comfortability.
Teresa and Charlie are the manager and the assistant manager of the front desk. Both are very kind and seem to pay close attention to details. does not ever seem to matter what my need were, I always feel satisfied with their solution .
IHG makes it very affordable to stay in this place. I’ve gotten rooms on the river for as little as $119. With balconies.
I hope in the future that IHG provides the finances to this hotel particular hotel to give a little bit of a facelift on the outside in the courtyard. It would be so amazing if they could do a Hawaiian theme out there. It already feels like a vacation spot. But cleaning the outside windows and replacing the umbrellas, maybe putting some real or fake palm trees out there by the pool, possibly some music. I mean in the summertime maylbe banquets could set up an outdoor bar. It’s that kind of place.! I love this place!

Perfect location and beautiful views of the Columbia River. Very comfortable bed and sheets. On site restaurant was great, and the quality was amazing. Will definitely stay here again when I’m back in town.

Staff is the best! All so nice and helpful. Comfy beds and great breakfast. Especially Eggs Benadict.
