Chicken tortilla soup from the restaurant was really tasty! Our bed was super comfy, staff was friendly and the shower felt luxurious.
Some of the furniture in the big open atrium area could use a deep clean or replacing. The breakfast was not a good value for the price. Instead of a buffet, ordering from a menu would have been preferred as my kids are so picky. They also gave my kids hot chocolate not chocolate milk as requested but that may have been a communication issue.
Our first impression of the Hyatt Regency was positive. The lobby was very nice. The staff that checked us in was friendly and professional. However, after a long travel day and a lovely evening spent in the city we returned to take a shower but the water never ever got even warm. We called the front desk who said it just needed time to get from the boiler to our room. After running the water for at least thirty minutes we went from cold to cool. The sink water, which was merely a trickle did get nearly hot. A cold shower, especially in winter was not very enjoyable. We let the staff know that night and the following morning in hopes that something might change, but nope. The rest of our stay included cold showers. The front desk suggested they would issue a discount on our room which we have yet to see. Unless they undergo a major renovation of their plumbing, do not stay here, unless you love cold showers.
It was exceptionally clean. Great location.
No hot water in multiple rooms. We waited for hours to switch rooms, only to get a room with mildly warmer water.
room was hot (78F) with no windows or a way to cool it off. I barely slept. Staff could only offer a portable fan brought to the room. Room service came in a plastic tray, not a great way to enjoy a steak. Staff was courteous and did what they could, but this hotel is run down and poorly managed.
No microwaves in the rooms to re heat foods
I was charged for two rooms at check-in and was told the extra charge would be reversed, but as of today it has not been corrected. This was very frustrating. I also found the room lighting to be too dim, making it difficult to work or get ready comfortably. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, and I did not get a good night’s sleep. Overall, I felt the stay did not meet my expectations.
Was here with a Sewing group. The food was fantastic. The staff friendly and the rooms were in great order
Excellent vibe the hotel. The atmosphere was lively (despite the weather). I will be going back often!
Nice, but very dated, hotel. The service was Hilton level and the facilities are very good. However, the rugs are dingy and the rooms could use a remodel.
makeup mirror with lights!!!
The ac vent blew onto the bed, very cold but couldn't turn the AC off because the room got hot. Vent deflectors would have helped.
Breakfast was not included, which is fine, but maybe an incentive to eat breakfast in the restaurant would have been nice- like a discount or voucher included with a stay? Staff was friendly. Lobby spaces were welcoming, with plenty of comfortable places to gather and sit.
The veneer on room doors was warped, as if they had been in a flood. Buttons in the elevator were worn. There were full trash cans and trash in the landscaping. All contributed to a shabby, unkempt feel. Parking was very full, especially with tour buses taking up much of the parking, leading to visible frustration from guests. Even with great lobby spaces, and a full hotel, the bar closed at 11 on the weekend, yet "no outside drinks" were allowed in lobby spaces. We called the morning of our arrival to speak with staff, to ensure our requested room was correct after the confirmation made it look like it might not be. The hotel staff assured us over the phone (we made sure they were actually at the hotel) that a room for 5, with appropriate bedding, would be ready. Upon arrival and check in to our room, there was only enough for 3 or 4 (1 double bed and sleeper sofa). They were able to make it right with a second similar room on the same floor, but it wasn't what we requested or double checked in with them about.
Clean
Service lady at the coffee breakfast area is a miserable person… cleaning lady - left and came back to grab what I forgot in 2 min… she put my drink in her bag and trashed my food
