Staff friendly, great breakfast
A little out of the centre, but great for shopping
The property was very nice. The pools were well maintained & the food in the restaurants was quite good.
We were upgraded to a Junior suite which was lovely.
The food was a little on the pricey side & the fact that the bar closed quite early.
In saying that the hotel did not appear to be anywhere near full.
All the staff were very pleasant & nothing was a problem.
We did how ever have a problem with the taxi driver that was organized by the hotel for our trip to the airport.
He demanded cash which we did not have enough of and he was quite rude & abusive. Nothing was mentioned about cash at the start of the trip. I appreciate this is not the hotels fault but I would suggest they advise future patrons that this may be the case.
This grand hotel has friendly and exceptional staff, spacious well-appointed guest rooms, a number of lounge and eating areas, space around the outdoor pools and is a short walk to the corner of Scotts & Orchard Road for food, shopping and MRT access. The Coffee Lounge served both excellent buffet breakfasts and dishes from the a-la-carte dinner menu. This is a hotel to come back to.

The front desk team is fantastic. They made me feel completely welcome with their warm attitude and exceptional helpfulness right from the moment I arrived.
Got an upgrade for our room which had direct access to a secluded pool, the room was huge compared to other hotels in Singapore and had a seperate lounge and a second bathroom, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the location of room 153 was very quiet. The breakfast was very good and overall all the staff very friendly and helpful.

Service standards could be a little more polished. Speaking in a different language to other service staff than speaking to the customer, in front of the customer, is a bit unexpected at a five star hotel.
Location was not bad
Room was filthy. Floors were dirty, we only realised how bad it was once we stepped into the shower when black footprints showed up.
There were wooden slats on the wardrobe sdoors which had thick layers of dust on it. They were evidently not cleaned for months.
My daughter developed a rash after the stay. Across her body and face. Im assuming their sheets werent that great either.
Front desk was abysmal. We indicated on booking that it was my daughters third birthday and requested for a late checkout if possible. We received a standard template response that the property would try.
When we got there, the staff showed 0 knowledge of my daughters birthday, nor did they attempt to make any efforts to make the stay feel special for her. Im not even asking for things like cakes or soft toys that other properties have provided in the past few birthdays. At least a card or a greeting would have been nice? Even after being told to their face that it was a birthday, the front desk staff Jocelyn couldnt be bothered. We received better service from the food and beverage staff who at least wished my daughter a happy birthday.
To further make things even worse, front desk did not seem to have even noted the late check out request. And Jocelyn went to ask a manager in a black jacket who gave an extremely displeased face. It is a request not a demand, if its not possible, smile and say sorry not possible. I think i saw the manager’s name on the name tag was Kim. This same manager walks through the property ignoring guests. Im sorry that guests stays are such a hindrance to her day. If a guest is making eye contact maybe acknowledge the guest. Pathetic levels of service. Twice she walked past me around the property and twice she ignored me. I dont really care in general but coupled with all the other experiences with front desk, this is significantly below par for a property such as this.
