I like the staff who works there. They are really kind. That’s why I came here 3 times. But this time I did not like the room. It was very noisy.
We loved staying at the Avenida palace. Its proximity to restaurants, shopping and transportation was outstanding. The beds were comfortable, rooms were spotless and the service was the best
Overall the hotel was nice. However the room was not comfortable for sleeping as the temperature would not go below 23.5 degrees and that is not comfortable for sleeping.
To the staff of the Hotel Avenida Palace: we will always remember our first trip to Spain and Catalonia because of the warmth that you welcomed us and encouraged my study of Catalan.
I didn't know any Catalan when I arrived, but I was moved by the story of how people were trying to revive culture after what Franco had done. Over the past week, in hundreds of shops and cafes, people responded to my efforts with smiles and encouragement.
We will always remember you as wonderful ambassadors of Barcelona and this hotel.

Lovely stay with very welcoming and attentive staff. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety and quality. The location is perfect, convenient and ideal for exploring the area. Highly recommended!

This hotel experience was lovely. The location was very central we needed being right outside Passeig de Gràcia and not far from Plaza de Cataluña. Food at breakfast was nice and the hot food changed each day, though wasn't labelled properly and could have been kept warmer. The only main complaint was the shower as every 2 minutes it would suddenly get very cold or hot and then settle again to a nice steady temperature but we got used to the cycle.
Although I had to work from the Sunday to Wednesday, I stayed here also from the Friday and the hotel is really central and convenient. Nice rooms and very clean, very friendly concierge/reception and nice breakfast. Will definitely go back.
This boutique hotel has all the old world charm and convenience of a central location. Our daughters stayed there 2 years ago, and we also booked a Superior Room for 4-nights. The first 2 nights, unfortunately, there was bad smell at the shower area. A replacement room at a lower level was arranged for the last 2 nights although there was no apology nor customer gesture or rebate.
The staff was in general professional and courteous.
We had a fantastic family holiday at El Avenida Palace in Barcelona! The hotel has a beautiful charm and was a great base for our trip. However, we did encounter a small hiccup at the start of our stay. We had booked one of the older rooms, and we were surprised to find that it did not have air conditioning - only heating. Apparently, air conditioning in the older rooms is only available during the summer season. Barcelona can be quite warm at night, and with the city noise making it difficult to keep the windows open, the first couple of nights were a little uncomfortable.
Gabriela, the front desk manager/supervisor, and her wonderful team. After we communicated our concerns, Gabriela went above and beyond to relocate my family to a beautiful suite on one of the newer floors, which has full heating and air conditioning year-round. She also kindly arranged complimentary breakfast for the remainder of our stay. We were absolutely blown away by the level of care and customer service shown.
Once settled in the new room, we were incredibly comfortable and truly enjoyed the rest of our holiday. A big heartfelt thank you to Gabriela and the entire team for turning our experience around and making our family feel so valued.
A tip for future guests: If air conditioning is important to you outside of summer, make sure to request one of the newer rooms when booking!

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for his birthday. The room was clean and spacious. Very comfy bed. Bath and shower was also a bonus. Black out shutters were great.
This was my first time in Barcelona! All i can say the Hotel staff was very friendly, charming and also helpful. The location was perfekt, most of the sightseeing is 10-20 min walk away. Overall great experience!

The room (we stayed in a refurbished room) was spacious, very well decorated, and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location; central, but never feeling too crowded or touristy. We'll definitely be back!

When I returned to the hotel on my birthday night, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the staff had prepared a lovely surprise for me: a greeting card, chocolates, and drinks. It was so warm and touching. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I come back to Barcelona.
Wonderful place for a romantic stay, expensive but definitely worth. Consider it if you are romantic and want to treat your partner as in a fairy tale!

We stayed in a renewed room. Good bed, the only minus thing was that you couldn’t put of the heating so it was much to warm to sleep.
