Fabulous service from staff.
The hotel itself was fine, but the parking experience was disappointing.
The parking is not located within the hotel but in an external parking facility. The hotel said they offered a parking discount, but it didn't work and we ended up paying quite expensive parking fees.
The staff then told us that we wouldn't have to pay for the remaining two nights and gave us a QR code. However, on our last day, the QR code didn't work either. We had to return to the hotel to ask for help, and they told us to email them later for a parking fee refund. Unfortunately, this was quite inconvenient, especially since we were rushing to the airport.
Overall, I was disappointed with how the parking situation was managed. If you're traveling by public transport, this hotel may be a much better choice.ing
Staff were attentive & very helpful
No housekeeping on 2-night stay.
Its location
Only there for one night
Hotel had everything we needed, couldn’t fault it.
Junior King suite was beautiful, comfy bed & fluffy pillows.
Hotel architecture is absolutely stunning.
Pay the extra for the club access, worth it.
Staff extremely friendly & level of service is next to none.
Will be back x
Found all staff friendly welcoming helpful, Clean well looked after building. Fantastic pool area.
Breakfast was a little bit of a let down, hash Browns bacon where cool small amount of fresh fruit was a let down only one toaster with people standing in front of it made it a long wait. Found the room to be a bit stuffed and night, pillows not the best to hard or to soft
Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good location.
Liked everything.
I used some IHG points for a room at the InterContinental having never stayed there before.
Check in was quick but with virtually no information given about the hotel's facilities.
We were given a room on level 8 the Ambassador floor however there was nothing Ambassadorial about this hotel room.
It looks like a business person's hotel room with an overly large desk, bathoom is from the 1980's with a room view of the filtfhy glass rootop from the hotel atrium.
The bathroom fan went all night which interrupted our sleep however the gym junkies at some ungoldly hour dropping dumbells on the gym floor (which is 2 floors above) was enough to finally break us.
Don't park in the Rialto car park as they charge me $136 for 17 hours!
We didn't eat in the hotel but had drink at Ronnie's which does serve dinner.
This hotel like many others in Australia are long overdue for refurbishments. Asian hotels provide far superior service and rooms/suites.
All up a very disappointing stay.
If you want to see what a five star hotel would have looked like 25 years ago then this is your go too place,it’s like a time capsule and believe me nothing has changed,I am a local in Melbourne and there are so many better options available.
Two days after departure I noticed a a sneaky additional charge on my credit card, once I made contact they told me it was for mini bar items which was perculiar as I had used nothing from the mini bar😂
I was told the amount would be credited back to my account but it’s a week later and surprise surprise still no refund.
My advice to you is when this hotel comes up as an option to stay in Melbourne keep scrolling, you can thank me later
Lovely perfect stay!
Everything
Breakfast, free drink and bubbles for my wife whose birthday we were celebrating.
Absolutely charging hotel, staff are exceptional and restaurant is outstanding with a very broad menu and excellent wine list. Location walking distance to train station and driver walk makes this an ideal location for an extended stay, I look forward to my next trip!
Staff were super lovely and helpful. The facilities were awesome, loved the breakfast service. Helpful staff at check in, brought our bags to our room for us. Within walking distance of most of CBD in Melbourne, which was great. Bathroom facilities were good, helpful having hair dryer and iron included in room.
First time staying in a much higher end hotel, found it kind of underwhelming. The room just felt like any hotel room. Felt like we were paying for the foyer. Not any natural light in room, small window.
