Room was exceptional, and staff were very accomodating
Bed and pillows were quite soft, but that is a personal preference
Reception staff lovely assisted me with valet parking due to family emergency. Lovely restaurant, food beautiful. Quiet room, very relaxed stay.
Shower pressure could improve, but not terrible
We arrived early in the day after a long international flight. Our room was not ready, as expected because we were early, but Jason at the front desk got us settled in at the InterContinental Club for breakfast and took care of storing our bags until
our room was ready. He gave us suggestions on where to head out to explore. When we arrived back a few hours later, our room was ready and our bags had been delivered.
The hotel is an elegant old building that has beautifully restored. The InterContinental Club is a highlight of the hotel. It is next to the registration desk in the hotel’s atrium on the level above the hotel bar and restaurant. The Club is in a prominent location in the hotel - not tucked away in a corner as in many hotels. The food was fresh and plentiful with several offerings a day - breakfast, high tea and cocktails and canapés.

The service wasn’t up to the same level as our previous stays, and our room wasn’t as nice as previous stays
Firstly, all the staff were excellent- totally professional and really helpful. (a special shout out to Amy at the front desk for nailing the dinner recommendation and booking for me)
The room itself was nice and super clean, and the bathroom was really well stocked with lots of towels, and the rainforest shower was a great touch,
The buffet breakfast is a little pricy, but it has a great selection of pretty much everything you could want, especially being able to get fresh omlettes made to order and fresh pancakes.
