I have been an Accor diamond member for a long time. My wife and I arrived at the hotel at 10 am traveling from Vancouver, Canada. I went to the dedicated All Accor check in line and was told by a lady who barely made eye contact that I have to go to main concierge. We did not expect to get an early check in but at least we requested one. We went shopping and came back at 3:20 pm past the check in time and were told that our room is not ready! All that the manager said was that he was sorry. At 5 pm we finally got our room exhausted and angry. The manager said he will give us free drinks!! We already had free welcome drinks vouchers as diamond members and he said he upgraded us which was not true as I had already used my free night suite upgrade for this booking! The room was hot, no AC and just the portable fan in the room. Other than the great location, this hotel is too overpriced for what it offers and they have no respect for or loyalty to All Accor Members. This brand is losing customers and its loyalty program is a joke.

Stayed here during the Paris heat wave of June 2026 and have left out the lack of air con or indeed electricity at the hotel from my score as both were clearly outside the hotels control.
I’ll start with the positives. The staff were all amazing and aimed to please. The location is amazing so close to the Eiffel Tower and Champs. The hotel itself is very pretty.
Now the room for improvement. This is essentially just like any other mid tier independent hotel in Paris, but just happens to have the Sofitel name slapped on it. There’s nothing Sofitel about the hotel. Certainly not 5 star. Tiny room with tiny bathrooms etc just like any other Paris hotel.
But the biggest disappointment is the value for money. At >$1,000 euro a night it’s just not worth it. I’m upset with myself for not either getting a cheaper hotel at equivalent standard, or spending the slightly extra money and getting a genuine 5 star hotel.
You can read all my previous trip advisor reviews I rarely ever give out any negativity but just wish I read a review like this when I was deciding which hotel to book in Paris.
One expects a certain quality of a five star hotel - and the location and lobby does not disappoint.
The attitude on reception, alas, did.
The luxury room was far from that. It was small, as Paris rooms often are - but the size was as described. Mind you, they suggested an extra bed could be added for a third person - goodness knows where!
The carpet was old and very tired. You would not have it in your front room and it has no place in a luxury hotel. I am told it will be replaced - which is reassuring, but not for this year’s visitors.
The heating does not heat. Not in the summer, anyway. It pushes out cold air: which is fine when it’s cold. Not so useful when it’s not. Reception died not call back to discuss. But they did send up a chap with a heater after a second call.
And the toilet seat doesn’t stay up.
It’s not a five star room.
In fairness, they responded to the complaint promptly with appropriate settlement. But I would not wish others to be disappointed and I hope the issues are remedied as promised.
Before I start my review. I just want to say that my husband and I are Accor members and have frequently stayed at Accor hotels both overseas and in Australia. In fact on this trip we also stayed at L’Echiquier Opera Paris (another Sofitel hotel), where the service at their bar and selection of food at their restaurant was excellent.
The quality and position of the Baltimore is excellent. Within easy walking distance from many of the sights of Paris . The reception staff were very helpful on arrival and during our stay BUT the service at the bar on three occasions was substandard for a 5 star hotel. On two occasions, we were sitting waiting to be served (as we had previously been told that was how it was done in this establishment) and were not even acknowledged by the waiter who walked past us after serving others. We waited another 10 minutes and then went out to another restaurant a few minutes away where we were served immediately.
On another occasion we sat to order an express breakfast before a planned tour. Nobody was there to serve, I finally found someone and was told that a “colleague” would be there to help me with breakfast. Another wait of 10 minutes and no one came. Once again we found another restaurant and were served immediately.
The menu at the restaurant is limited as well.
My advice, if you like to stay in 5 star accommodation by all means stay at this hotel, but there are many other restaurants close by, that will serve you with a smile!
Die Lage
Es gibt keinen Unterschied zwischen Standard und Superior Zimmer (außer höherer Preis)
Klo bei Übernahme des Zimmers nicht sauber, Personal an Rezeption nicht zuvorkommend
Location
Staff, cleanliness, it was discomfort
We stayed at Sofitel Baltimore for the weekend with my wife. We booked a room with a balcony and enjoyed the view. On Sunday, we ordered breakfast in the room, and that was pretty good.
We booked all our activities in Paris with the hotel concierge team. Special thanks to Emilien, who helped us to arrange dinner on the boat.
This hotel is in a fantastic location, a little over one kilometre to both the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe (at the top of the Champs Elysees). It was late May when we were there and the weather was spectacular, providing a perfect setting for a casual lunch each day at the beautiful outdoor area of the hotel. Lordys Paris Club is the hotel's in-house restaurant, which provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service from Klara and Adama was exceptional, as were the meals, and our one dinner there became a highlight of our stay. All the staff that we came in contact with at the hotel were excellent, and this will certainly be the only place we'll stay while in Paris. Highly recommended.
toilet was weird but the amazing bartender Damien made it all worth it please give him a raise.
Disappointed stay.
The location is impeccable—within walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées. However, it definitely doesn’t feel like a 5-star experience in terms of service and the room.
I booked two stays: one at the end of March and another in early April 2026. Our flight was early, and we arrived at 10:00 a.m. The reception told us to leave our luggages and that they would email/text us when the room was ready. I kept checking, but we didn’t hear anything—even by 3:00 p.m. We were exhausted after a 14-hour flight, so we went to the hotel at 4:00 p.m. directly, and they said the room was ready. It felt like the reception team had completely forgotten about us.
The room is spacious, but nothing special. It’s only worth about 4 stars. The amenities are fine—they use Balmain shampoo/conditioner and nice toiletries—but that doesn’t make up for the overall quality. The interior, chair, and bedding are mediocre, and it is absolutely not worth around €520 per night.
What was worst: when I made tea, I found a lipstick mark on the cup. At checkout, I told the receptionist about it. He said, “Are you sure? The cup is shiny.” I explained that I had actually seen the red-colored lipstick on outside and inside (white lining) of the cup and that I hadn’t worn any makeup at any point. He finally said, “Okay, I’ll remind our staff…”
We left our luggages at the hotel and returned two days later after a trip. The receptionist couldn’t find our previous stay record, but I showed him the luggage storage ticket. He said they would send the luggages to our room. We waited 30 minutes—no one came. Since we had to leave for a scheduled museum visit, we had to leave. When we returned at 7:00 p.m., the luggages still hadn’t arrived. We called, and the bellboy came about 10 minutes later. He apologized and said they didn’t know we had stayed before and that the luggage had been kept at the hotel =(
We also had issues with dining information. We planned to dine elsewhere for our first night. The 2nd visit we decided to dine at the hotel restaurant but were surprised that the restaurant was closed on the weekend. Shouldn’t the receptionist briefly explain opening hours for the hotel facilities at check-in? We weren’t informed in either visit. The bartender was very nice and suggested we could dine at the bar. He gave us great recommendations, and we ended up having a pleasant evening there.
Frankly, I stayed at Sofitel Le Scribe last year, and I would recommend Le Scribe for the much much better service and room design.
What a great experience at the Baltimore Sofitel ! The room was stunning, super clean and peaceful. We loved the quality of the breakfast, and enjoyed a nice home made cocktail on the sunny patio outside
The staff is absolutely fantastic
100% recommended

O hotel eh acolhedor, os quartos tipo junior suites sao otimos, bastante espaco p guardar roupas.
O cafe da manha otimo
Funcionarios super simpaticos
Otima localizacao
Primeiro quarto que haviam me colocado era minimo, sem espaco de armarios ou gaveteiro
Ainda ha muitos banheiros com chuveiro dentro da banheira
This hotel is on Kleber in the 16th district, with loads of restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries within walking distance. The Tour Eiffel is very close by and it was lovely to see it every day while we were in Paris. More importantly, the service at the hotel is truly special, sincere and caring. Special thank you from the bottom of our hearts to YOUSSEF at the Front Desk who moved heaven and earth to find us two rooms during the Paris marathon weekend to accommodate my mom who had mobility issues with stairs (the hotel has stairs to get to some rooms and also has them within certain types of rooms). We also had breakfast at the hotel which has a great variety of cold and hot dishes (including eggs made to your liking), great French pastries, fresh juices, veggies, yogurt, etc., with very attentive and caring service. The two gentlemen who helped us with our bags were so friendly and sincere - we really enjoyed our daily interactions with them and were grateful for their kindness. Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Hotel Baltimore Tour Eiffel.
