Pros:

Absolutely fantastic staff. They seem to get friendlier every visit. Room is super clean, very comfortable and peaceful. It is great being able to bring the dog who seems to love the area - and the hotel!

Great stay for events at racecourse
Pros:

The room was clean and comfortable. We all had a great nights sleep and no disturbance from any noise from fellow guests or from outside.
Great breakfast. Lots of choice.

Cons:

There was nothing i didn't like. Everything exceeded my expectations. Of course, I would have preferred to pay less, but the hotel is situated right next to the event.

My favourite weekend of the year
Pros:

Great mini break
Pros:

Easy to find.
Nice lobby and bar area.
Simple and decent facilities and rooms were nice.

Cons:

There were horrible stains all over carpets in our room which was not the best. We had a nice time and didn’t spend much time in the room anyways.

Pros:

The staff are super friendly & nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay perfect.

The hotel is spotlessly clean & the bed & pillows are so comfy.

Pros:

Nous avons apprécié l'emplacement, pratique, près de l'autoroute, sur notre route retour.
L'hôtel se situe a 20 minutes à pied d'une zone commerciale.
La zone est calme, à côté d'un hippodrome et proche d'un parc publique.
Très bon petit déjeuner bien garni avec même des gaufres à faire soi-même 😁

Not for us
Pros:

The location was close to family members

Cons:

Upon arrival we kindly given an room upgrade, the staff member made it an obvious overture when delivering the news, yet on entering the room it was not in a made up state to receive us. Very disappointing.
After returning to reception and alerting the same staff member who agreed it was dissatisfactory, quick had a room change for us. We were thankful for that.

Then there was dinner, for the price we paid to have what appeared to be a freezer style breadcrumbed minimal sized piece of fish and chips, the same with the burger didnt best please myself and my partner. The wood board my burger came on with my chips in the snazzy mini fryer basket didnt accommodate the vinegar I used on my chips made somewhat of a mess on the table. Plus as an avid cook myself using a wooden block to serve food on I wouldn't trust the sterility a plate would be such a better option.

And finally the mattess,... uncomfortably hard and unforgiving was an underunderstatement, that was also a contention when chatting to other residents during breakfast. After a 400mile drive over 7hrs, a good sleep was essential, and that was not had.

The name about the door said Hilton, yet the over experience for us did not meet the expectations I felt the name carries.

Deeply disappointed, I will.be returning to The Sweeney in Hamilton as a far better option for the outlay.
