The facility was clean, the pool was clean and the staff is friendly
Everything at this location is great
Do not even think about a reservation at this location. We were checked into a room that had not been cleaned from the previous stay. The new room was not cleanest, crumbs on the floor and window sill. There was no toilet paper holder. Mold in the shower. Shameful, just shameful on Hilton.
Clean and comfortable. Safe and friendly.
This one is what you expect almost. Very friendly front desk, easy parking and comfortable room. They offer daily house keeping. My beef is with the breakfast. 3 days in a row tasteless egg white omelets swimming in water. Not good. No cheese is offered here. Not your normal Hampton breakfast. I said something to the front desk and they shrugged and said they would mention to GM.
We stayed here to attend a wedding. The first that jumped out is the small size of the room. It is the smallest room of the Hampton chain we stayed by far. A sliding door alternates as the closet door and bathroom door! I do not recommend the place if you have an option. On the plus side, Chick fil a and McDonalds are across from the parking lot. Buffalo airport and galleria are serviced by a hotel shuttle. Breakfast is subpar, I had to buy another coffee and muffin from a gas station to take care of the morning.
Location
Comfortable
We have visited this hotel before and on this occasion we found that it had really improved from the last visit. We arrived and were greeted by Vanessa who was very welcoming, efficiently checked us in and acknowledged me as a Hilton Honors member. The hotel was spotless and the room very clean. The bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep. The breakfast was much better than last visit, there was a lady working diligently to keep everything clean and filled up. On departure again the staff was very friendly. The location is right across the street from Galleria Mall and surrounded by restaurants and shopping as well as close to the airport. We will definitely return.
Very amenable to dog
Cost
One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. So comfortable and the staff are amazing. I’ve never had such helpful hotel staff. Not even at high end hotels like the four seasons.
Nothing
The location. The cleanliness of the rooms.
I reserved three rooms at the Hampton Inn on Walden Avenue for my family while we were attending an event in the Buffalo area on the weekend of March 14, 2026. I checked in around 3:00 PM and specifically asked the front desk to ensure my family members could check in smoothly since all charges were being placed on my credit card and I had an important business conference call later that afternoon. The agent assured me my family would only need to show ID.
That assurance turned out to be completely false.
While I was in the middle of my business call, my sister-in-law called saying the front desk refused to let her check in without presenting a credit card. I then learned they had done the same thing to my sister moments earlier, forcing me to interrupt my call to deal with the situation.
The agent working at that time appeared completely unaware of the arrangement, and the Front Desk Supervisor telling me to “calm down” while fixing their own mistake was incredibly unprofessional. Telling a customer to calm down when your staff created the problem is not how customer service should work.
To make matters worse, my sister-in-law was also told they were hesitant to put their family on the 5th floor because her kids “could be loud.” That comment alone was inappropriate.
The front desk staff working around 3:45 PM on March 14 clearly need better training in communication and customer service. Despite the convenient location, this experience makes me very reluctant to stay here again.
I generally think it's good to have pet-friendly hotel options, but I don't think this hotel was equipped to handle the customer service aspect of potential issues. There was a (likely unattended) dog barking in a nearby room throughout the evening, ongoing for 5 hours. At first, a phone call to the front desk didn't provide a solution. After several hours, I replied to the text message that I received upon check-in, and that was ignored. The barking eventually stopped when the owners presumably returned. When I checked out in the morning, I was asked how my stay was. I mentioned the barking, and my comment was not acknowledged. As a guest staying at a pet-friendly hotel, that may be the risk that you take, but to me this seemed like a unique, extended situation that warranted acknowledgement that it was disruptive to other guests.
Otherwise, it was a pretty standard hotel, with my rating factoring in the convenience of a complimentary breakfast and proximity to other quick dining options.
