Pros:

Easy checkin, elevators conveniently located, room spacious w frig, closet, bright bathroom. There were a lot of pillows but small size on the king bed. breakfast was ok. tip: ask for top floor so no one walking around above you

The facilities were nice, and the location was great.

Cons:

I made the reservation, but my aunt's family was going to stay at the hotel, so I made the reservation under my aunt's name.
When they arrived, they were told that there was no reservation under her name. Even after showing the reservation confirmation text message and confirmation number, the front desk staff simply and rudely stated that it could not be honored without offering any assistance.
As a result, I had no choice but to drive to the hotel myself to complete the check-in process. My aunt's family had to wait in the lobby until I arrived.
My aunt was very upset by the way she was treated and even felt that she was being discriminated against because of her ethnicity

It was a great location and decent stay
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Very fresh and clean

Cons:

There wasn't enough towels in our room for the next day and the front desk said there wouldn't be any ready till later. So my husband and I had to share a towel in the morning. Also no pool towels for the kids after they got out of the pool.

How clean the room was and location. Front desk was great, very nice and responsive to your needs.

Cons:

The lightening, which was why I gave it a 9 instead of a 10. I was there to study for a class and then back for testing. It was hard to see to study.

Reliable Hampton Experience in a Convenient Location
Pros:

If you like Hampton Inns, you won't be disappointed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The entire property is well maintained. Conveniently located to shopping, dining and entertainment. I didn't eat breakfast, but it looked like what I expect at Hampton. I did use the pool and had it all to myself. We did experience noise each morning about 7:30 as they are currently building a restaurant across the street. The Front Desk needs to improve their dress and professionalism.

Worst Experience Ever
Pros:

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Grandville from Monday 4/13 for two nights, and this was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had.

I checked in using the digital key and was assigned room 219. When I got to the room, there was almost no toilet paper—just a tiny amount left on the roll, which I unfortunately discovered at the worst possible time. That same night, the TV didn’t work, and when I called the front desk, I was told they would look at it the next day. That doesn’t help when you’re trying to relax that night.

The next day things got much worse. After returning from work Tuesday evening, my key wouldn’t work. I went to the front desk, showed them my digital key for room 219, and was issued a new key. I went back to the room, opened the door—and someone else was already staying in it.

Back to the front desk again. After checking the system, they told me I was actually assigned to room 409. When we went up to 409 together, it was completely trashed—beds unmade, belongings scattered, towels and clothes on the floor. Clearly not a cleaned or vacant room.

After calling the GM, I was finally moved to room 323, which thankfully was clean and empty.

The most concerning part of this entire situation is the lack of accountability and explanation. I never checked in at the desk, yet somehow my room was reassigned without my knowledge. The GM could not clearly explain what happened—only that I had been “switched.” I was initially offered 150,000 points, which was later changed to 50,000, and I was told I would receive a follow-up call explaining the situation. That call never came.

I also contacted Hilton customer service on Friday 4/17 and was told I would hear from management within three days. That has also not happened.

This wasn’t just an inconvenience—it was a serious issue involving room security, cleanliness, and communication. Walking into an occupied room is unacceptable. The lack of follow-up afterward made it even worse.

I would not stay here again based on this experience.
