Hotel 505

Room was comfy but noisy from the interstate traffic (loud trucks all night) and some hairballs in the room when we checked in. Rooms could use updating, but signs at the front desk said they will be updating rooms starting in spring 2026. Breakfast was ok, wished they had some fruit. We were there for the balloon festival and they started breakfast at 4am which was unexpected and super convenient. Pool was okay, but we had to get towels for the pool at the front desk, one was really small and one had gross stains on it. But my kids played in the pool for over an hour, so still a win.

Bathroom had dirt from the last guest stay that wasn’t cleaned and shower took 20 minutes to drain and filled up tub while showering getting dirt back on me and wife. Also shower curtain smelled like piss and had whole bathroom smelling like that. Spoke to hotel staff who assured me they would have someone look at it and take care of it. Neither problem was taken care of the 2 days we stayed.

This property honestly needs to be knocked down the rooms are disgustingly had hair in bathroom and bed. Also towels were dirty like no one cleaned the room. Don’t let the pictures online fool you it was a lesson learned.

The breakdast was REAL food with both hot and cold options. Staff is wonderful :-)

Clean & affordable

I felt comfortable here, it could use some new things but it was what I needed

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. First room we had, there was no smoke detector because someone had taken it off to smoke there. The beds for all economy rooms are also advertised as either queen or king. This bed was a full-size.

I don’t mind that but I was bothered by the false advertising, as I paid for a queen. Told the front staff about this and they adamantly refused saying all beds were queens, they did not own any rooms with full-size. I am 60” tall. The average queen mattress is 60” wide; when I laid sideways on the bed to test, the top of my head hung off the side so I know for sure it was a full. After discussing with the manager she did offer and upgrade to a king which I accepted; we ended up staying here because our flight was at 4am and the cost of finding another hotel short term was crazy. King mattress was the right size.

Bathroom ceiling had a ton of water damage and bath needed serious repairs or replacement. The ceiling light in the new room also did not work. Do not stay here!

Room was old and out dated.

Breakfast was fresh and AC worked fine was quiet.

Lovely place

Very clean interior. Nice staff. Great view. Comfy beds. Soft towels & bed linens. Reasonable price.

I honestly can’t believe I stayed in the same hotel that has all the good reviews. This is hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, as far as the condition of the property. The common areas and our room are extremely old, in disrepair, and filthy. It smelled like cigarette smoke, sewage, and other odors the entire time. Doors to the rooms are oddly tall and narrow, making it awkward to get inside while wheeling a suitcase. Toilet seat broken. Holes in the walls in bathroom and main room. Stained bedding and carpet. Phone didn’t work, alarm clock unplugged. We stayed 3 nights, our room wasn’t cleaned/turned over after the first night even though we left around 10 am and did not return til evening. The next day we went by the front desk on our way out around 10 am to ask that it be cleaned. When we returned at 8 pm the bed was unmade, there was no bath mat, and a wet towel was left in the tub.

Don’t even ask about the dirt on the ice machine - yikes.

I will say the staff at the front desk and at breakfast were very kind and wonderful to chat with, very helpful and full of thoughtful suggestions on things to do with my young child as well as balloon festival tips. And the little balloon backdrop for photos they set up was SUPER cute! But they’re the only redeeming thing. This building needs a massive remodel/refresh. It’s dark, dirty, and honestly kind of creepy.

Room was fine. 2nd room was dirty. Front desk more than accommodating. Breakfast was good. Helper was not. Sat on her phone while tables were dirty. In the three mornings we were there, none of the tables were ever cleaned after last customers. Area where ice machine was filthy.

Room was fine had the amenities that I needed. Was noisy being off the highway but that's the case for a lot of the same hotels. It is a bit older and has quirks and some leaks but I had no issues with it
