Un soggiorno all’insegna della comodità e del comfort. Decisamente consigliato.

Desapointing experience
Cons:

A disappointing hotel experience.

I paid for services that simply did not exist. Several claims were misleading.

On Booking.com, the hotel lists parking, even a garage. In reality, there is none. You either find a spot on the street, if you’re lucky, or use a public parking area three streets away.

It also states that breakfast is included. In practice, if you want something as basic as fried eggs, you are asked to pay an extra €6.

The room is advertised as air-conditioned. When we stayed in April, it was 26°C outside and 28°C inside the room. The air conditioning could not be used because the system is centrally controlled and was set to heating.

Beyond that, the breakfast is poor, the service quality is low, and the overall standard of the hotel is underwhelming.

I raised all these issues at reception. There was no apology.

I do not recommend this hotel.

Hotel de calidad, lejos del centro histórico
Pros:

El personal de recepción y de la sala de desayuno están muy entregados a ofrecer un servicio personalizado. Felicito a Pietro, Lorenzo, Anna y Micol por una atención magnífica. El desayuno era muy amplio, a la altura de los desayunos en la cadena NH en España. La habitación tenía de todo y era muy cómoda.

Cons:

La cafetería en la planta baja es muy cara. Un tercio de cerveza local costaba 8,00€ y me parecía demasiado caro.

Además, la cocina sólo ofrece comida elaborada de restaurante y nada de comida ligera como un sandwich, hamburguesa, pizza o una ensalada. La dirección debería aprovechar más sus instalaciones y ampliar la oferta para que el bar del hotel sea una opción viable de comer para los huéspedes.

El sistema de activación del ascensor con la tarjeta de la habitación no funciona bien y es frustrante su uso.

El hotel está ubicado en una zona céntrica con pocos habitantes pero en una de la avenidas grandes que facilitaba la entrada y salida de la ciudad. Encontramos plazas de aparcamiento facilmente en la plaza del hotel y en las calles próximas.

La primera impresión de la zona no era muy favorable. Se tarda unos 20-25 minutos para llegar caminando al centro histórico de Catania. La próxima vez buscaré un hotel más céntrico.
