NH Palermo

I am not normally in the habit of leaving reviews, but in this instance I wanted to write to recognise the excellent service experienced at the NH Palermo during my stay in the last days of December 2025.

The hotel was extremely clean and well-appointed throughout, and my room was comfortable and spacious. However, the greatest asset of this hotel, it seems to me, are its staff and most particularly those in the dining room. Leo, Fabrizio, and Rosario are a sure credit to the NH Palermo and made my and my friend’s experience of the hotel all the richer for their suave manner and clear dedication to doing their job to the highest standard.

Of particular note during my stay was the Grande Cenone di Capodanno. The staff has prepared the dining room beautifully, and a most fantastically talented band accompanied the dinner, adding to the festive occasion. The waiters, once again, carried out their duties with great aplomb.

In all, I enjoyed a very wonderful stay at the NH Palmero and wish to record my thanks to those whose good work made it so.

We had a quick stop for drinks and Marco at the bar was very nice and made very good Bloody Mary! We also had some lovely nibbles that came with the drinks.

Leo, Franchesco and Ruby provided excellent service at the NH Palermo Restaurant. The food was delicious as well. The only draw back are the bugs flying about during the meal otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Stayed here with a friend for 3 nights in what was described as a Junior Suite (Room 203). I found the room rather cramped as the sofa had been turned into a bed as we had booked a twin room. The bed in the main room was clearly 2 twins pushed together which could of easily been separated as they had been in the previous NH hotel we stayed in. There was also nowhere to sit as there was only 1 other chair. Wardrobe/draw space was very limited. There was no iron in the room and when one was requested we were told we had to go and use the Ironing room somewhere else in the hotel!

Although there were 2 Balconies neither of them had a table or chairs which seemed odd. It would have been nice to sit outside and take in the view. If you looked at other rooms to the left of the Balcony they all had a table and 2 chairs.

The room itself looked tired in places and would benefit from a refresh. The bathroom also needed some attention as the shower was leaking and the toilet flush panel was very loose and coming away from the wall. There was also a damp smell which wasn't very pleasant. That said the public areas of the hotel were well maintained. We did enjoy the outdoor seating area near the pool.

The coffee machines at breakfast on 2 of the days were either not working properly or completely out of order. The hotel was busy so I was surprised that these weren't fixed sooner. You could order coffee from the staff which was then made in the kitchen but it took some time to arrive. Hardly any of the staff at Breakfast made eye contact or smiled which is something that needs to be addressed.

Based on this experience I would not stay here again.

The place was very beautiful, rooms were clean, the service was excellent and the waiter Leo was very kind and pleasant.

The room was clean and comfortable. The employees charming and helpful. Meals were delicious…the breakfasts were phenomenal! Diego was especially helpful.

Excellent location! Loved this hotel! Beautiful views of Mediterranean! Service is excellent! I would recommend it!

We started our Sicily CIE bus tour at NH Palermo. A very welcoming environment and plentiful breakfast buffet. Our last night we enjoyed a nice meal at the restaurant and had a very fun and lively waiter, Leo, along with Valeria and Claudio. They were attentive and entertaining and helped us with our Italian words! They were a great team! Arrivederci Sicily!

The staff was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. Leo, Valerio and Claudio service was EXCELLENT. They made our meal fun and a very enjoyable experience.

Excellent service from Leo, Claudio and Vacelia! They were attentive and food was delicious. They surprised the birthday girl with a delicious dessert, and sang. Exceptional service!

I was staying at NH Palermo for a few nights while on vacation and thought i would try the dinner one of those nights. The food and wine were very good, all in a relaxed atmosphere.
Leo and Claudio were very friendly and attentive.
Would definitely recommend.

Very nice Only complaint was that the scrambled eggs were “mushy” and too salty. Otherwise all was very good. Great location!!

We are having the BEST time at NH Hotel in Palermo. We are here from NY and may not ever return!! The hotel is in a terrific location. The staff are friendly and are you feel like family. Especially Giuliana who got us into our room early and gave us tips for getting around the city. Leo was also fantastic when we were at breakfast or at the pool!
We also stayed at NH in Taormina and absolutely WILL return to that location.

All in all, our vacation was made great by our stay at NH

FANTASTIC stay in Palermo!! Hotel and staff are fabulous!! Special mention to Martina! She always remembered our room number.

We spent a week as a family in this hotel with adjoining rooms so that our teenage boys could get their own space and we could get ours. It is a nice clean hotel with a good outdoor pool with plenty of lounge seats about. The bar/cafe area served nice lunch options and there was a plenty on offer at the breakfast buffet. However what made this hotel is the really helpful staff who are all friendly and great!
