Worst hotel

It was 7 at night so they show a out side of premises very bad room and not what i booked standard room and when i asked they said if you want the same room
Which you booked pay usd 50 and which i paid because it was already late and i cannot go other places so they take advantage of it

食堂からの景色は最高です。
8部屋よやくしましたが、部屋は何かが欠落してる。
僕の部屋はシャワーとカランの切り替えが壊れてた。他の部屋は冷蔵庫が壊れてたり、窓が閉まらなかったり。
それはルワンダならではのご愛嬌と言えなくもないが。
三階の部屋だったが実質は4階で、登り降りが大変だった。
健脚向けの宿。
朝食もまずまず、レストランの食事も安くて美味しい。また泊まるかと言われたら、機会があれば泊まりたい宿。

みなさん親切でした。

The staff were very helpful and the place whilst spartan is clean. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss but the views over Kigali whilst eating were brilliant.

Rooms too small

Breakfast was very nice especially the African tea. The people are very polite and helpful.

No fan no ac how can any one stay or sleep on multiple request was given fan in room

It was good but when i asked to refund my money they didn’t gave me back and say you have to stay till your last day we don’t refund the money back
But on the site they said they have full refundable policy

Hotel is ok and rooms too. Hot shower and big bed. Very good buffet breakfast on own restaurant where can order good food on menu. Staff are nice and helpfull. Airport transporting arrange. If arrive by bus to Kigali it is better take to motorbike lift then walk to the hotel.

I booked this property online and upon arrival i found the room fully prepared for me. I really enjoyed my stay at the property. The staff were so friendly and very quick to respond to request for assistance by guests. I would recommend you to try the hotel and i look forward to staying again at OKapi Hotel during any future trip to Kigali Rwanda.

The staffs was excellent very helpful I really enjoy my stay when I come back I would not hesitate to book again and recommend friends . One think I did not like was the lack of African food the hotel need to have something on the menu for people who want to experience Rwanda through food

I originally booked a 6 night stay, I checked in for the first night early in the morning at about 2am.

My room was on the third floor but there is no elevator in the building, and it was extremely tiring for me to climb the stairs (I am 68).

The room has no a/c and no fan, there is a window/door in the room leading to a balcony but there is no mosquito screen so I was unable to open it. There is a mosquito screen hoisted over the bed but it looked dirty and I did not use it. The room was suffocatingly hot. If I had arrived during the daytime I would have walked out and gone somewhere else.

That first night I managed to get a little bit of sleep, despite the suffocating heat. At sunrise, about 6am, I was able to open the window/door to the balcony to let some air in without worry about mosquitos. However, my room in the hotel faces east so the sun was shining directly into my room and within about an hour, the room was like a sauna despite having the balcony window/door wide open. And my room overlooks a busy road and the noise was really annoying.

I checked out the next morning, and found a hotel elsewhere.

I told the clerk at the lobby the reasons I was moving out, and that night the hotel owner phoned me and offered an apology, and also offered a refund for the remaining 5 nights via the booking agent.

The promised refund has not been made. I made a complaint to expedia but they have been unable to reach the owner.

Excellent hotel for the price.while it might not be Hyatt quality, the rooms are functional, clean and comfortable with great views from the balcony if you get the 3rd or 4th floor.
ALL staff members go the extra mile to make sure you have a nice stay Breakfast is Ok. VFeuit us excelkent, but uou have to order cooked eggs. The restaurant meals for lunch and dinner are excellent. Order about an hour before you want it though!
