Do not book if you are looking for a five star stay
Pros:

Booked this hotel as a special treat for a milestone birthday and left within 20 minutes of arrival. The room is one not advertised and fell well below the standard expected at this price point, including NO WINDOW and the shower directly opposite the bed covered by a curtain. When we raised concerns, the alternative room offered was no better. The hotel was loud, rooms tired, dirty and outdated. My husband's company has even tried to unsuccessfully sell this hotel because of its tired state.

When we pursued a refund albeit, happy to forgo the cost of one night, we were told to speak with Booking.com who then told us all the power was with the hotel. The hotel's written response contained inaccuracies I have had to formally dispute, including references to complaints we never made and events that did not happen . Their position that a non-refundable rate absolves them of providing a basic standard of service is not only poor customer care, it is questionable under consumer law.

Save your money and your special occasions for somewhere else.

Not a five star hotel
Pros:

Hotel is old and outdated. Staff are nice. If you want a five star stay avoid this hotel at all costs. Not even a window in our ‘upgraded room’.

3 días para devolver ropa para lavar, cuando nos dijeron que era 1 día. No nos limpiaban la habitación, teníamos que ir nosotros a pedir que la limpien. Decia que tenían un beach club del hotel y te cobraban 50€ por persona, ni siquiera toallas para la playa te dan. Para ser un ser un 5 estrellas un desastre total, no se lo recomiendo a nadie, me hubiera ido a un Airbnb que hubiera estado mejor.

The staff were the best thing about this property especially Mohammed in the Restaurant and Roof top Bar

Cons:

We checked in early at 12 noon were told the room wasn’t ready which we completely understood so went up to the Rooftop Bar and bought lunch and a bottle of wine and a lovely relaxing time excellent service there. At 4pm we enquired about our room only to find out that guests had been checking in all afternoon nobody informed us that the room was ready. We were then given the last room left as hotel fully booked a dark old shabby room on the back of the hotel allocated to another guest!! Our cases didn’t arrive as they had been allocated to the room we should have been In located On the front of the hotel which had been given to another guest hence luggage being astray!
When I complained to reception we were offered 2 glasses of Prosecco as a compensation! Another trip to reception to complain and they found us another room slightly better than the first that didn’t smell of drains but o rebooked fire escape and bottle banks so very noisy.
We eventually got our room and cases at 19.00 hrs after arrival at 12 noon!
Just not good enough when paying 600 euros plus per night. A free dinner was thrown in for goodwill but the stay was already spoilt.

Superficially Five Star - not in reality

The food at the Rooftop Restaurant was good but it was not matched by the service expected from a Five Star Hotel.

The staff are inadequately trained.

I ordered a glass of wine to accompany my meal. Instead of bringing the bottle to the table & offering a small tasting the wine was just brought out in a glass. Not only did I not have any idea about the maker or the vintage. The wine was not served at the correct temperature.

If I had visited an English Pub & was dining at the bar, the service might have just about been acceptable but the service did not reflect the Five Star price.

The most expensive poor dining experience I have ever had.

There are an inadequate number of sockets in the room. There was no socket by the bed to charge my phone & Apple Watch.

The breakfast service was also chaotic

The Porters were the helpful and efficient.
