Beautiful facility and amazing staff. Very personal and attentive treatment of guests. A lot of activities, entertainment and great food with a fabulous restaurant on site. Located right in the heart of the hotel zone near clubs and other restaurants, yet still quiet and relaxing in the late hours. We felt very safe and taken care of. The staff even provided us with breakfast to go before the kitchen opened for our travel home. Absolutely highly recommended.

I absolutely loved my stay at Ahau in Tulum! The vibe was amazing — relaxed yet full of great energy. The food was delicious, the beds were super comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better. The music in January was such a vibe, especially with Set Underground helping bring the magic to life. Can’t wait to come back! 🌴✨

We booked an oceanfront upper Master Suite and are currently staying here now. The room is clean, with amazing views and fantastic balcony space. However, we were placed in room #2, which is located right next to the restaurant and beach club. Upon check-in, I asked about noise level and asked specifically if it was quiet (at least at night) and was told, YES. Absolutely. Starting at noon each day, music has been playing very loudly in our room from the lobby/beach club downstairs. It’s like the speakers are playing in our room directly, ALL DAY. The front desk gave us earplugs, but who wants to wear earplugs all day and into the night? The staff were friendly, and apologized, but ultimately did nothing. We are 3 nights into a 5 night stay, and for the price we paid for the room, really wish we had chosen to stay elsewhere. We are considering checking out early and moving to a new property. If you don’t mind party music & a beach club in your personal space, you’ll love it. If you want a more peaceful experience, look elsewhere, or request a room further away from the lobby upon booking.
The grounds are lovely and staff are very friendly and kind, but this is my 2nd stay at Ahau and unfortunately, won’t be returning. Beware of room 2 if you want to sleep, relax or have a conversation without shouting.
Great service and attention to details from all the guys (Sergio, Fernando, Heriberto…too many to remember)! Rooms were very comfortable and the location on the beach is top tier! Also close to many of the highly acclaimed restaurants in the beach area. This is our 3rd time staying here
and we will be back again. We love Ahau!!!

She is incredibly knowledgeable, offering clear guidance and options for every level. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, you feel supported and encouraged. The flow was perfectly balanced — grounding, strengthening, and deeply relaxing at the end.
Beyond the physical practice, Noelia brought a beautiful energy to the class — calm, kind, and inspiring. You leave not only feeling stretched and stronger, but mentally refreshed and centered.
If you’re staying at this hotel, don’t miss this class. It’s more than yoga — it’s an experience.

I took a last minute 6 day trip to tulum, a place I always wanted to visit. I chose Ahua based on the location on the beach, the opportunity for daily yoga/mediation, and the reviews that mentioned it was more quiet and authentic.
Pros
-awesome location, spacious room, immediate beach access from my room (#9) onto the beach
-Daily morning yoga with the sunrise, with the waves in the background was awesome.
-walkable area close to shops, restaurants, starbucks next door
-front desk staff were very helpful with places to eat, visit, and getting around
Cons
-Room but could use some updates, water marks on the ceiling from previous leaks, cracks in the walls, and wooden planks in the shower, which I worried about bacteria
-path to my room was great, but dark at night I had to use my cellphone light
-Restaurant food wasnt great, I ordered a grilled fish which came with rice which was swimming in butter - I would have loved to stay on the property and have meals.
-the service while on the beach was lacking, I had to drag an airondack chair across the sand, the hostess didnt interact with me until she came to tell me to move (after several hours of me being there). the security at the front of the hotel stopped by EVERYTIME I walked in. I finally had to say, "you just saw me 5 minutes ago". Upon checkout I was halfway down the stairs with my suitcase before the front "security"? came to assist me, put my case in the van, and stood there laughing! What was that about?
-I think it was overpriced for the value, and also the customer service. They never took my credit card upon arrival, so everytime I got purchased something I had to make sure I had my credit card with me
