The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything—from the location and stunning views to the beautiful interior—made our stay truly unforgettable. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the pool and saunas are absolutely amazing, creating the perfect space to relax and unwind.
The staff deserves special recognition for their professionalism and kindness. From the reception team—Mariami, Levani, and Giorgi—to Giorgi from the restaurant, everyone was attentive, welcoming, and always ready to help. Unfortunately, I did not manage to remember all the staff members’ names, but every single person we interacted with was genuinely warm and truly understands what excellent service means. You can clearly see that the management puts great effort into training and supporting their team.
The food was another highlight. Breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner, was very, very delicious. The combination of European and Georgian cuisine offers a wide variety of choices, making it comfortable and enjoyable for everyone to find something they love.
Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations and made our time with friends truly special. I would highly recommend it and would gladly return again.
Great location ❤️, very tasty breakfast❤️, clean rooms, good service, great views❤️❤️. I love it, I come back . We have very good vacation
Location beautiful. Breakfast excellent and the restaurants good too.
Some staff don’t speak good English.
When we arrived at 2.45pm we were told one room ready and one was not yet, even though check in is meant to be 3pm they made us wait past 3pm with our two young children. The first day the pool was green and cloudy and we were told the water was fine and it has just turned like this due to heavy rain the previous night. The next day I asked reception to check if the pool was now clean and blue rather than green and they seemed reluctant to ask maintenance and said something in Georgian under their breath which the bell boy sniggered at, extremely unprofessional by Myriami on reception and made us feel uncomfortable for trying to ensure the health of our young children. The pool was thankfully better by our second day of our stay
We really liked this place. Situated in a picturesque place, the hotel offers excellent views of Kakhetian rolling green hills and of the Alazani Valley. The lake comes as a bonus. Plenty of laces to relax and enjoy peace. No cars. The car parking is about 2 km from the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacy. Decent food in restaurant. You can get both the European and the Georgian menu. Can go fishing if you like. Lots of hiking places.
must visit place ! really great an polite staff, human centried service, mental harmony, recharge after noisy life, untouched nature of Kakheti - main winemaking region of Georgia , with unit view - one side Alazany Valley, and another Caucassian Mountains, 10/10 scoring
The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast is excellent, the view is amazing and the room is very comfortable.
But there was a very serious problem: The first night they hosted a company event with music until 1 am and a lot of people who didn't stop shouting in the hallway -
so we couldn't fall asleep until 3 am.
And the same thing happened on the second night when there was a wedding and music until 2 am.
In conclusion: Although the hotel is beautiful and the location and view are amazing,
I say with great regret that it is not worth coming to stay, the minimum that is desired on a vacation is to rest and sleep and we didn't have that.
I apologize in advance that this is what I post online, but people need to know that they are coming to an event complex.
This was the first time for us to stay at Kvareli Lake Resort. We have been many times at other resorts like Lopota Lake, Radisson Tsinandali, Paragraph, that could be seen as competitors.
Everything, from the start (customer service at the reservation request) to finish (customer service to check out and bringing luggage to our car) went great.
What stood out during this stay (big positives)
+ Very friendly professionals at the restaurant, at the reception area, at the pool area and even the ones handling the email request for reservation
+ Superb breakfast (better than at Lopota Lake and Paragraph that are considered 5 stars)
+ Excellent spa area (pool and saunas) with stunning views - especially great for couples and families with kids
+ Beauty and serenity of the scenery
+ Big, clean, and modern room (much much better than at Lopota Lake Resort)
+++ Value (for 25-50% of the price of Lopota or Radisson you get the same level of hotel and in many areas it even surpasses them)
Things to improve:
- The mattress was not on bar with Radisson or Paragraph (I could feel the metal springs pressing my spine even though I am not a heavy person at 170lbs/77kg)
Overall, superb experience, and thank you to all the professional and friendly staff members. Would love to visit again, and I am sure we will.
Hello ! My wife and I decided to go on vacation. This hotel has a beautiful environment, quiet and peaceful. But there was a big wedding that we were not informed about. Because of that there was noise all day and night. Instead of resting, we stayed up all night. Also, while sitting in the restaurant, we were denied that it was closed because of the wedding and they let us go back!
so When we told all this to the manager, his answer was "sorry". just sorry )))
So i recommend to go in another beautiful place in georgia!!!
A perfect retreat to find serenity and rejuvenate. Stunning views and delicious food make it a must-visit destination. Highly recommended for anyone seeking to escape the city's hustle and truly immerse themselves in nature's tranquility.
Wonderful hotel, very stylish, comfortable, in a quite corner of nature. There are 2 basins, sauna, massage (for extra pay), 2 restaurants with Georgian and European food with the best views on Alazani valley and the lake Kvareli. You can take anytime a pedal boat (catamaran) for free, play ping pong, pool etc. The breakfast was excellent, enormous choice of food.
Amazing! A 4-star resort in the middle of Kakheti region of Georgia. The property on the hill overlooks Kvareli lake on one side and Alazani valley on the other side and the views are simply breathtaking. It is a quiet, serene place away from the hustle and bustle of a big city and you can immerse yourself in the tranquillity of a natural lake surrounded by rolling hills covered by a dense forest, or soak in the vistas of the famous Alazani valley and enjoy a drink on one of the several open terraces. There is also a spa and different saunas. If you are an active holiday type, there are two pools (an indoor and an outdoor one), free bikes to ride around the lake, water bicycles, boats, fishing, hiking routes in the forest and a lot of tourist "vine routes" around the place - remember that Georgia has 8000 years of wine-making history and some of the most unique wines and grape varieties in the world. You can use Kvareli Lake resort as your base camp and travel to many local chateau - private boutique vineries in the area to taste some wine you'll never forget. Fantastic breakfast with fresh local produce and great variety, two restaurants - European and Georgian cuisine, and very friendly, polite and attentive staff who will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The place is newly built, very clean and wit a beautiful, tasteful design Taxi service to and from Tbilisi if you need one. I travelled the world and the seven seas and can tell you - this place is up there with the best of them. Must visit if you ever come to Georgia. I stayed for a weak and won't spare superlatives to describe this place. Definitely coming back one day.
We just stayed at the Kvareli Resort Hotel. It’s in a beautiful location with a well-thought-out and nicely done design. The rooms are comfortable, with a lovely view of the lake and a little view of the valley.
BUT! Horrendous service and average food. We waited so long to get our food, then they brought tea, and we waited for dessert for at least 20-30 minutes, so the tea got cold already. I had to remind them about orders all the time. Most staff barely spoke English, and the kitchen was very slow, even though only a few tables were busy at the European restaurant.
A lot of staff was rude as well. We decided to chill on the sofas in the bar area when the waiter approached us. Instead of being polite and offering us anything, he rudely demanded that we not put our SHOELESS legs on the sofa since it was the “restaurant area.” They must improve their service, food, and kitchen speed before calling themselves a restaurant.
The girl at the reception was also very condescending. After checking out, we had to stay longer at the hotel, and we asked if we could get a massage at the spa. She looked us dead in the eyes and said there were no free masseuses without even checking the timetable
Overall, we were disappointed with our stay. Initially, we considered Kvarelli Lake as our wedding location, but obviously, we changed our minds. I don’t recommend anyone do their wedding there unless they want it ruined.
So rude staff, the manner of speaking to guests is absolutely unacceptable. definitely will never come back. Staff should have lots of hospitality trainings before contacting with guests. Otherwise management might lose lots of money.
Probably the most stunning hotel we have ever been to. The view on the lake, the Caucasus mountains and the valley was simply breathtaking, especially from the big terrace. The room was really beautiful too. Elegant yet cozy interior design and a big bathroom. And of course the spacious balcony, allowing an even better view into the surrounding nature.
But most of all, the staff was just outstanding. They were extremely accommodating, courteous and did everything to make us feel right at home.
Over the course of our two-week stay the service was simply extraordinary and unlike any hotel we have stayed at before.
We can only say that we had an absolutely amazing stay and will definitely come back! Many thanks to all the great staff that made our stay this memorable!
Words can bearly do justice to this gem! We spent 3 sunny days as a family of 4 loving the golden colours of the autumn leaves surrounding the hotel in its idyllic location at the end of the lake with extraordinary 270 degrees of breathtaking views.
Large comfortable rooms and spacious balconies were well thought out with excellent facilities (fridge, Nespresso machine etc..)
The spa complex was functional but well equipped with a super steam room, sauna and plunge pool. An infinity pool on the roof overlooking the lake was not heated, but an invigorating dip added to the feeling of wellbeing . We also enjoyed a superb hour long massages.
And the food… oh my goodness. The breakfast buffet was a work of art almost too good to eat, but it didn’t stop us! Delicious homemade yoghurt and muesli, wonderful mushrooms cooked in tarragon… and the best eggs Benedict I have ever tasted, with a perfect freshly made hollendaise. Dinner was a learning experience of tasty and freshly cooked Georgian dishes- all exceptional.
After all that food were grateful of the free bikes and pedalo!
All the staff, without exception, were charming and
helpful
We can hardly bring ourselves to leave and will be back.
One note- at the time of writing (October 2023) a new building is being constructed adjacent to the current hotel. It’s testimony to the wonder of the place that the construction noise didn’t detract too much, but if you are planning a visit soon, it’s worth being aware.
My recent stay at Kvareli Lake Resort was nothing short of fantastic. The resort's stunning location will sweep you off your feet. Overlooking the serene lake, it provides breathtaking views that promise a sense of tranquility from the moment you arrive.
But the views aren't all that the resort offers. The staff at Kvareli Lake Resort are second to none. They are not only highly professional but also incredibly warm, helpful, and attentive. Each member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure guests' comfort, making you feel welcomed and valued.
A notable highlight of the resort is the excellent food served at the hotel's restaurant. The culinary experience there is one to remember. From local Georgian dishes to international cuisine, the menu offers a diverse selection, each dish prepared to perfection. The quality and flavor profiles of the meals were impressive, leaving us yearning for more.
In summary, Kvareli Lake Resort provides an extraordinary blend of breathtaking natural beauty, superior service, and delicious food. It's a haven that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, offering a relaxing, rejuvenating, and thoroughly enjoyable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Kvareli Lake Resort to anyone seeking a splendid getaway in Georgia.
The hotel gives a chance to their guests to enjoy the privacy at Kvareli Lake , however, unfortunately, during our stay we couldn’t find a chance to enjoy this privilege as the hotel offer chance for different to book all the lake’s space for their activities
Also, we face difficulties to communicate with staff as there English not that much good
What a beautiful location of Kvareli lake resort, you will feel in heaven. Amazing views from room which you want to keep on seeing , nice climate and open air around really make me 10 years younger . Georgian delicacies at the restaurant was amazing and enjoyed thoroughly, don’t miss Red beans in clay pot with machdi bread , awesome . Spa was a bit upset as only one therapist and that to on leave that day , maybe due to no rush during my visit .
Overall one of best experience and recommend to all visiting to Georgia .
Additional tip is for transport cum guide if you need one of good operator I can share the details , enjoy Georgia
On a tour and our first night in Georgia was at this absolute gem of a hotel. Our room had everything we needed including a beautiful view. We used the swimming pool, steam room and sauna which is in a building a short stroll up the road. All staff we encountered were 5star plus and the dinner was delicious, loved the baked mushrooms. Oh and the breakfast... above and beyond. Would love to have had a few more days here, it really is supurb.
Stunning views, a bit smelly room, very poor service/unfriendly staff and management.
We got bad food poisoning at their restaurant, the hotel tried to cover it up and kick us out of the resort. Only after ambulance personal told them offf, they left us alone.
Hard to imagine worse handling of the issue.
