We spend four nights at The Tiing
The good:
- Staff is very pleasant and service minded.
- Rooms/Appartment is stunning (if you choose jungle view, you will have both jungle view from pool, and sea from terrace.
- Very remote and more local experience.
The less good or bad:
- Every service such as Yoga, Tours and Transfers is wayyy overpriced. They have a stunning dedicated Yoga spot however no one is using it probably due to the price.
- The restaurant is also very expensive compared to our other experiences. Breakfast is decent, lunch and dinner is very moderate if not underwhelming.
We went to a local place called Warung Seni instead, way better food and prices.
- The Pool area is outdated (furnitures especially) and it’s very difficult to find a spot in sunlight for tanning.
The staff/rooms is 5 star, rest is not good enough unfortunately.
My wife and I stayed at the Tiing for 2 weeks. They arranged everything for us from airport pickup and dropoff to visiting all the local and not-so-local places. Where we had activities that weren't on the pre-made list, they helped us with planning and driving. We got to experience local ceremonies, swimming with turtles, many waterfalls, and even more temples. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful - from the people at the front desk (Sayu & Oxy) to all of the restaurant staff (Nyoman, Adi, Tadek). The room was immaculate and the private pool a huge bonus when the bigger pool had lots of sun. The food was delicious, the included breakfasts were incredibly nice with lots of options. We really enjoyed sipping tea as the sun came up, watching the boats come back from fishing. I'll be back for sure - one of the best holidays I've had in decades.
The staff is obviously hand picked from the most beautiful and friendly people on the island, they all have kind souls and are a real treat. The property is peaceful and well maintained. They make sure to keep every detail as close to perfect as possible, and the chefs cook up amazing dishes that are flavorful, delicious and will fill you up. 10/10 would recommend this as a stay away from the crowds.
Exceptional staff - super friendly and very helpful
The food is delicious
The rooms are wonderful
The staff will be the biggest reason for me to come back one day, specially Alit the driver.
It’s very quiet and very beautiful. The room is clean and staff are so 😊 nice. The food is amazing and you have your private pool if you live downstairs. It’s one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever been!
The property is very simple but had everything we needed. We loved being able to see the ocean and the mountains. The private pool was perfect for cooling off in. The restaurant on-site met all our needs. We would have liked to have stayed longer!
Beautiful property!
Elskede ALT.
I spent the weekend at The Tiing Tejakula during Silence Day, and it was such a tranquil place to unwind. Despite the unfortunate weather—heavy rain for most of the time—the spacious villa offered a comforting refuge. We found it easy to relax in the living room, enjoying the breathtaking ocean view even as the rain poured outside.
The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, truly going out of their way to ensure we felt at home. They took the time to explain the dishes at the restaurant in detail, making our dining experiences even more enjoyable. One particularly kind housekeeping lady even invited some of the guests to join her for the Ogoh-ogoh festival on the evening before Silence Day, which was a thoughtful gesture that added a special touch to our stay.
Overall, I left with wonderful memories from my time at The Tiing Tejakula. I initially booked the Ocean View villa, but I’m now considering the Mountain View option for next time. I believe I’d enjoy having the serene mountain view from the bedroom while still soaking in the ocean scenery from the living room and balcony. It’s a place that really captures the heart.
The property is beautifully tucked within the village with the ocean at our doorstep! We were greeted with by the friendly staff and a welcome drink. The food was fabulous! The Chef came out and chatted with us. He was warm and friendly, like the entire team. The rooms were unique with the bamboo impressed architecture with mountain and ocean views. It was the peaceful escape we had hoped for. The drive there was complete sensory overload in the most delightful way, lush foliage bursting with village life throughout our 3.5 hour drive. It was a fantastic first impression of Bali for us!
Everyone was so friendly and the place was very peaceful.
Beautiful property. Rooms have ocean and Mountain Views. You choose if you would like the bedroom face either or. I would choose mountain for quieter nights. Nice selection at the restaurant.
First time travelers to Bali no one ever suggests Tejakula area. This was booked because of the beautiful view and as a VIP the benefits and discounts I’d receive with the amazing price . They really made my first night when they decorated for my birthday and all the last minute decorations they did on the pool and such. I got into an incident with a motorbike and the employee working was sweet in aiding my boyfriend and I . It did start to get weird and then unfortunate the last day. We’ve been only getting breakfast at the restaurant and my boyfriend must have been the first to order an omelette with the ingredients: spinach, ham,etc INSIDE compared to them tradiontionaly doing it outside (side ingredients ) . He’s been ordering it that daily and one day they gave him a raw omelette which he sent back and they remade but sadly using the same omelette which then was burnt . The very last day we had a new server serve us and he repeated what we wanted and I went over it with him again to triple make sure. But yet the breakfast wasn’t done right. And when we were checking out I was still in the room making sure every thing was well and they didn’t even wait for us to leave to start accusing us of stealing a towel . We had to explain to them that they stopped giving us towels on the fourth day so we only had 3 instead of 5 . Our driver from a different company understood and translated to help us out. All in all it was a beautiful stay but started to get weird by the end.
Absolutely beautiful place right on the beach. Room amazing. Staff and grounds could not be faulted will stay again

Lovely property for those wishing to escape the noise and congestion of the more touristy areas of Bali. I enjoyed my stay but would have enjoyed having more options on rainy days. You are literally far from everything which is nice but then costly if you want to see other sites around the island. I imagíne that in the dry season the options for swimming and snorkeling are more available. I could not take advantage of these because of the weather.
I would come back to get away but will definitely come during the dry season.
Service and staff were impeccable and attends to your every needs like royalty! View was wonderful although private pools don’t really have alot of privacy with guests and staff walking past quite often. Really not much else to complain about!
The rooms and staff at this place were awesome. The black sand beach was very disappointing, covered in garbage and lots of metal debris. They offer snorkling gear but we would dare go near the water Until the beaches were cleaned up. To much risk for injury. The pool and lounge chairs were very nice and well kept. Wasn’t a huge fan of the red tile pool as it makes the water look brown and dirty when it’s actually very clean.
