For the price, it's perfect 👌
Pros:

The location, the price, and the room were clean. The room may need some updates, but it serves its purpose.

Cons:

Not much facilities and they ran out of pool towels and cooler to use for the day. The size of the pool is small and lacks much space if the hotel is in full capacity.

Not woth the money, too expensive.

Cons:

The property didnt provide house keeping and cleaning services for 4 days. The room got really messy and with no trash bags provided the room became like a trash bin. Its not worth the money. The staff didnt clean the room even we requested it.

Great beach front property close to shops/resturants
Pros:

Right on the beach, beautiful plantation building. Room was clean and cosy, bed was comfy. Pool/Bar area was great. Staff were fantastic.

Cons:

Cocktails could use an update.

Complesso veramente bello, i giardini erano molto curati, bella la piscina con i barbecue a disposizione. Davanti c’è una bella spiaggia con un percorso pedonale fronte mare. A lato sulla spiaggia, fronte mare , c’è un locale ( lava lava) molto carino e buono

Die Anlage sowie die Nähe zum Meer waren sehr schön und haben uns angesprochen.

Cons:

Leider mussten wir bei unserer Ankunft feststellen, dass es nur ein Bett und ein Sofa gab, obwohl wir zwei französische Doppelbetten gebucht und bezahlt haben. Daraufhin beschrieben wir dieses Problem beim Personal an der Rezeption, dieses äußerste jedoch, dass es nur diese Zimmer mit einem Bett und Schlafsofa gibt. Sie gab uns die Option entweder nochmal so ein Zimmer zu buchen oder dass wir uns das Sofa zum Schlafen zurecht machen sollen. Dann gab sie uns eine Decke und zwei Kissen ohne Bezug und damit sollten die Kinder auf dem Sofa schlafen. Es war alles für zwei Leute eingerichtet, obwohl wir für vier gebucht haben ( Handtücher, Besteck, Stühle usw). Zudem hatten wir Besuch von einer Kakerlake.

Not the best stay…
Pros:

We just finished a 7 night stay at the Aston Islander, we had a pleasant time but felt as though a few things could do with improving.

Starting off with the positives, the staff are all super friendly and always willing to help you out, pool area is nice, good location, free parking and the marketplace next door was great to have on our doorstep!

Unfortunately, our main negatives were to do with the room. It’s dated but I think that’s quite clear from the photos which didn’t bother us! However, what did bother us was the room was dirty. As hotel guests, we had 1 mid week clean but no toiletries were replaced. The worst part about the room was the lack of soundproofing! We had a connecting door in our room and you could hear every word that was being said next door! Not sure if we were just unlucky and had exceptionally loud neighbours but we heard shouting, hairdryers and showers at 1am… unfortunately this was quite a big let down for us.

We won’t be staying again but can understand the appeal to others.

Great location beach front
Pros:

Been at Islander on the beach now five times, four of the trips I went through VRBO or Airbnb rooms had great charm and most had lots of extras like ice chest , beach chairs , boogie boards ! This time I decided to go through Outrigger itself .. checked in and went to our room . It was oceanfront like we always get , nice little hotel room , we were told mid week room will be cleaned with new towels and sheets .. kinda reason I when through hotel .. I knew all others I had rented from owners would not get cleaned. So midweek came and went by that time I decided I’m not gonna say anything, we were able to exchange beach towels, that’s one thing that you couldn’t do if you rent from owners. Room did come with a microwave and a small refrigerator, which was nice. Used it a bunch. Used to have fresh coffee in lobby but that ended during Covid .. I certainly will stay again because location is awesome and ocean front is wonderful. Nice walking path .. small beach but watch for rocks . Lava Lava beach club is next door !!

A Perfect Oceanfront Getaway
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Aston Islander on the Beach! We were fortunate to receive an oceanfront room, and waking up each morning to the incredible views was truly the highlight of our trip.

The property is beautifully maintained, with lush tropical landscaping and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay.

The location is excellent—close to shopping, restaurants, and beaches, making it easy to explore the island while still enjoying a quiet place to come back to. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose Aston Islander on the Beach again on our next visit to Kauaʻi. Mahalo for a memorable vacation!

Pay a little more and get yourself a nicer stay
Pros:

location is great, and that's the only positive thing about this hotel. Rooms are 200 years old with bad smell and uncomfortable beds. I would not recommend. Pay a little more and stay at a "hotel". Peggy and other lady front desk folks are great though.

Awful Experience with unhelpful employees

The landscaping was nice.

Cons:

The check-in process took 3 tries to find a room. Room 1 had standing water on the entire floor. Room 2 was occupied when we opened the door! Room 3 was dirty but, it was where we stayed. The bathroom tub and fixtures were rusty and pitted. The walls and floor were grimey. There was cockroaches in the bathroom. I authorized an amenity hold on my credit card but, the hotel continued to charge my card each night for the daily rate of our stay!

Pague por dos camas dobles para estar cómoda con mi familia y solo me asignaron una habitación la más lejana que encontraron con una cama doble y un sofá incómodo por lo que me sentí incómoda toda mi estancia. Nadie me solucionó. Solo decían que no había. Perdí dinero y comodidad. El señor que nos atendió a la llegada ni siquiera me miró. En general me sentí discriminada por ser latina.
