Expensive for What You Received
Pros:

There are oceanfront properties on either side of this one. I would not go back to this one. At over $400 a night it was not worth the price. The front desk people were all nice except one. There is no help available for dragging your luggage up and down the stairs. The rooms are in serious need of updating to include things like charging ports. The amenities listed in the resort fee were not provided like daily coffee from Imu Coffee.

Fabulous!!!
Pros:

We loved everything about this stay. The staff was great, the rooms perfect, an absolute perfect location right on the ocean. We loved the pool, the hot tub, the bar/restaurant, everything. Can't wait to go back there!!!

It was ok for just an over night stay. The price was decent but no access to TV or Netflix

There was no blanket like comforter to keep us warm enough we used the pool

Huge undisclosed fees!

Cons:

There was an undisclosed $75 per night resort fee!!! The room had 1 bed not 2, and sharing with my teenage son was extremely uncomfortable. And they didn't even clean the room during the stay. The pool was so over chlorinated that we had eye pain despite wearing goggles in it. But mostly it's that $75 PER NIGHT UNDISCLOSED RESORT FEE. Nothing like being there, having no options to go elsewhere and have the price go up that way to ruin a vacation.

We enjoyed and relaxed and found a small beach short walk from the hotel
Pros:

It was clean and quiet and with beautiful grounds.

Ladies at the desk were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Rooms were dated, cables cords everywhere and 2 fridges but one didn’t work that taking lot of space. The bar by the pool was a downer, Christmas time and no festive lights no atmosphere.

Would recommend this place to others
Pros:

We needed a one night stay near the Pono Kai resort, and this hotel checked all the boxes. Clean room, comfortable bed, ability to be checked in after hours, very gracious staff, quiet location, and our driver found it easy to pick us up the following day. We would select this hotel again should we need a brief stay in the Kapaa area.

Cons:

It is expensive but the price is typical for this area of the island so not really under the Aston’s control.

Our stay was sufficient, but I wouldn’t recommend it and I wouldn’t return there.
Pros:

The pool was clean and very nice. The grounds were very well maintained and the plants were beautiful. The paths were clear.

Cons:

We were welcomed without the promised lei and the person who checked us in was very rude. We communicated our needs multiple times in advance, (having booked 5 rooms and needing 2 beds in some of them) and had been told that this would be accommodated. But at check in the person told us that this was a request and only a request and not all requests could be met. Having the needed number of beds on our vacation is a requirement. Once a different person took over the check in process, all was well and we got what we needed, but it was a very unpleasant way to start our vacation.

The rooms were very dated, inconsistent (some had blackout curtains when others did not, some had two fridges, the bathroom fans were very noisy and dirty) and could use a fresh coat of paint.
