Not the greatest hotel. Very tired looking and over priced. I had to change rooms several times just to get a toilet seat!
The process with hotels.com wasn’t great either. I had to pay for my room twice- once in advance and once when I got there as the hotel claimed they hadn’t received the money from hotels.com. I then had to spend an hour on the phone with customer services to try and resolve the situation. It all got resolved which I’m grateful for.
I’m not sure on the cleanliness of the rooms. I got bitten quite a lot and they definitely weren’t mosquito bites. I couldn’t find the culprits so I can’t say for definite what I was bitten by.
The staff at the hotel were terrible. They (over the course of two days) refuses to comprehend that I had booked and paid for the room. We spent 2 hours arguing on the day of checkout as they were charging me cash for the price of the room. The staff were rude and demeaning as well. Disregarding my confirmation and paid emails. Even when we were able to get Hotels.com staff on the phone to speak with the staff, they continued to state that their hotel does not have a contract with hotels.com or Expedia and refused to accept my prepaid email. Hotels.com was able to refund me and I paid cash at the hotel for the stay. The staff then told me that this has happened before, with the most recent being last week. Essentially, someone in their staff is stealing the Hotels.com fee and double charging clients. Hotels.com confirmed that someone withdrew the money they had sent. This hotel functions as a scam and are doing everything they can to avoid the booking fees. Stay away from this hotel!
