I was disappointed, I rented this La Quinta because it advertised to be a better La Quinta than the one closer to the Airport
Poor
EVERYTHING. 1.ROOM 212 HAD BLOOD ON SHEETS 2.NO HOT WATER IN SINK, 3.PHONE DIDNT WORK , 4. REMOTE TO TV NOT WORKING, 5. DIDNT RECIEVE ANY TOWELS FOR NEXT DAY., 6. THE ROOM WE WERE MOVED TO ROOM 110 A HOLE IN BATHROOM CIELING 7.THE ROOM WAS COLD VERY UNCOMFORTABLE THROUGH THE NIGHT 8. NO COFFEE IN ROOM, 9. TOWELS FELT LIKE SANDPAPER, 10. LADY AT FRONT DESK WAS RUDE.. I CAN KEEP GOING ..
Did not like anything aside from the young person that was at the front desk when we arrived was cordial.
We checked in and the first room was dirty (remodeled, but dusty and dirty), and also the sink was clogged. The second room was also dirty and the sheets and both matresses were filthy with blood stains and insects. We took photos. We were shocked that anyone at the hotel thought this was acceptable. The third room we were shown was also dirty from remodeling, mostly debris and dust. The attendant offered to do a quick sweep of the room, and stated that there is a gap under the door blowing stuff in. If there is a gap, then the room should not be rented out aside from the surfaces including floor were dirty. Also, the debris was obviously from remodeling and not just a bit of dust blowing in. The manager appeared at the front desk and was EXTREMELY rude. We said we do not feel comfortable staying there as we have seen 3 rooms and all are filthy. The manager expressed NO concern for the condition of the rooms and tried to bully us into a 4th room. We told him we need a refund as the hotel is filthy. He then rudely said "You are on your own, I can't help you then." The exterior of the building was also in disrepair with numerous hazards including trip hazards, stairs rusted or cracking, remodeling material in the walkways, garbage cans overflowing. This was a horrible experience. The hotel should have been shut down completely during remodeling and the standard of cleanliness is absolutely unacceptable. To top it all off, the manager was a rude bully who refused to provide a refund. As the room was booked through booking.com, the manager told us we need to deal with booking.com for a refund, but after numerous calls to booking.com, they informed us that since we paid at the hotel, only the hotel could provide the refund. They hotel refused. When booking.com emailed the hotel to get their side of the story, the manager lied stating that they offered a "professional deep cleaning." Any other hotel would apologize and refund.
Filthy, unsafe area, building falling apart
I am a business woman and I called before choosing to book at this hotel to be sure they except three animals. There website states four however the policy in the lobby states two...huh! The lead manager told be that they do accept ESA Animals and she didn't charge me. They didn't tell me that they require a $50 deposit. I allowed them to use my card for that deposit. They failed to tell me it would take that deposit EVERYDAY, not once. I still never got my two deposits totalling $100. They promised me they reversed them and still I never got that $100 back. They then insisted I give them another $50 so I did in cash. When I left they only gave me back $25. The owner were telling them to charge me everyday for each animal AFTER I was promised no charge. The location is filthy. I literally had to mop my floors by hand none times. They kept $125.00 of my money and had the full to flip what they told me. A man was way too close to me at my door and so I could barely get iny room. I told him to leave me alone and he was yelling racist comments at me. I told the staff because he was booked their and they told me they would deal with it. They did nothing and asked me to leave because, How Dare I Not Be Okay with them trying to go back on what was promised and stealing my $$

My rating is absolute. Example: A high end exotic all in resort would receive a higher experience rating.
This lodging failed to my needs for this trip.
Made a reservation through my travel agent.
Easy to find and access. Convenient car parking near room.
Upon arrival I was promptly greeted. The front desk operator tried to scan my driver's license with a scanner.
I objected to this high identity theft risk and asked to add any missing traveler information manually. The operator advised this could not be done and contacted the manager on call. While friendly, the manager insisted the driver's license to be scanned. The manager declined to tell what information would be registered, where it would be stored and how it would be deleted. The manager threatened to cancel the reservation for my non cooperation. When the manager could not provide a privacy policy, we settled my traveler information would be manually added to "the system". Besides a credit card hold, the manager insisted on a cash security deposit. After insisting, I was provided with a proof of cash security deposit. The latter was refunded upon check-out.
I am a Wyndham rewards member, La Quinta already had all my information required for their marketing. The ID theft risk at this location is high.
The room was not clean with all several accessories dysfunctional.
The smoke detector was loose, shower curtain moldy, sink not draining and moldy, soap dispenser broken, door security latch missing, complimentary bar soap tiny and broken in pieces.
Good quiet sleep experience quality bed and linen.
Poor complimentary breakfast.
I’ve stayed in several hotels and this is the worst hotel I have ever seen. Room was beyond disgusting, stains everywhere, sheets were not clean, broken furniture and drug peripheral in the nightstand. Checked out immediately, and asked for a refund. The manager on duty, just laughed and my card was charged twice! This hotel should be condemned and tore down. Whatever you do, do not stay here. @laquinta

When we visited amarillo we found 3 different La Quinta Inns after staying the night we came up with a rating system of our own for them. Business Class/ Luxury, Economy, and finally Crack Den. Unfortunatly we choose Crack Den to make our online stay. 1st off our kibg room was unavaliable. Then we were charged a $50 incedentals feewhich took a week to be refunded. Inside the room was a busted fridge and microwave of enourmous size, the elevator was broken when we went to leave in the morning as well. We didnt even attempt to see the pool because everything else scared us to much. The night staff was unpleasant at the 1st and 3rd locations. The 2nd location tried to warn us about how bad the 3rd location was.
Was promised a full refund, due to them double booking one of my rooms and giving it to someone else.
Breakfast was ok
I was not impressed with the lack of selection of fresh fruit & tea at breakfast.
