Altnaharra Hotel

Lovely B&B. Had a fire and alot of seating in main area. Food is AMAZING for dinner and breakfast. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom. I have stayed here before and will again!

Stayed for one night as it was close to Ben Hope. The room was old fashioned, but in a good way . Loved the tartan accessories and the big deep bath was an unexpected nice surprise . I would stay there again if I was going back to that part of the country

Staff cant do enough for you. Very quiet room.

The hotel grounds appeared untidy and neglected.
The bar was limited (and expensive)since my last visit.
I had difficulty understanding the managers strong eastern European accent, he was helpful and courteous though.
The bed was very soft and because the bedding/pillows and mattress were foam I was overheating and sweaty so did not sleep, which was disappointing as I had booked to avoid a 3 hour journey from home in the morning.
I was not aware breakfast wasn't included when I booked through Expedia, that made it not such a good deal after all.
Overall I would say that over the years I have stayed here this hotel appears to be decaying, internally and externally.

This is a remote spot with not many accommodation options and yet this is a very nice place to stay. Welcoming, good food and lots of very pleasant lounge space. Well equipped for cyclists too. Recommended.

Charming Hotel with very nicely appointed room. Very comfortable and quiet. Alan was particularly helpful with checking me in and providing a safe storage for my bicycle. I very much enjoyed my stay over during by cycling tour.

Splendid highland situation in a remote scenic area with good parking. Well appointed furniture and fittings and country views, although I could not see the lake from inside the hotel. Room warm on arrival but tv being upgraded so not available. Very good internet signal, Only a couple of guests as out of season so had personal service

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Their attention to detail was highly appreciated. There was a nice fire in the fireplace. The room and bathroom were clean. And dinner, the Balmoral Chicken, was delicious. The best I’ve had in Scotland. Veggies cooked to perfection as well. Highly recommended.
