A Special Experience
Pros:

Raffles is a beautiful, classic hotel with attentive staff and very comfortable, spacious rooms. There are lots of special touches such as the choice of chocolates, welcome cocktails, a generous and free mini bar. The breakfast room is light and welcoming and the selection of dishes is very good.

Cons:

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay.

Wonderful stay in an iconic historical hotel. It could not have been better
Pros:

I liked the ambience, the room and the staff. We arrived a few hours early, so our room wasn’t ready and we wanted to visit the famous Long Bar for a Singapore Sling. The agent walked us over (it’s not all that close to the lobby), passed a huge line of people (non-guests) waiting to get in, and had the manager seat us immediately. After a few slings and a yard of beer, we thought the room might be ready, and mentioned it to the waitress. She said she would check, and disappeared for 5 minutes. Just about the time that we figured she had forgotten about us. She turned back up with another check-in agent who escorted us to our room. While she was explaining the amenities, the porter showed up with our bags, followed by the butler. It is not cheap to stay there but you sure feel special! What a great way to experience a little history!

It’s splendid Raffles…what more can you say!
Pros:

This is an iconic hotel and it lives up to its reputation. From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty.

The rooms are spacious and luxurious. Terence dropped off our suitcases, such a friendly man. We kept bumping into him throughout our stay. He always had a smile and a quick word with us.

You have your own butler. Pridip and Vanya took great care of us. Vanya took us through our chocolate selection, and spoilt us beautifully!

There are several restaurants and we loved the Tiffin Room. The Indian cuisine is delicious. Our server, Natasha was a delight.

The Long Bar is just as you imagine. The staff are wonderful, the ambience is relaxed and fun. The making of Singapore Slings in the mechanical cocktail shaker adds to the experience of being part of a tradition, as does the throwing of nut shells to the floor! Thanks to all working there for making us feel at home.

We spent time at the beautiful pool, gazing at the skyline. Clarence was very attentive and served us great drinks whilst we relaxed in the Singapore sun.

When the time came to leave we were helped by concierge, who could not have been more helpful.

Raffles is a place you must experience. It is such a beautiful building and an oasis away from the city bustle.
