De locatie is mooi
Mooi etablissement, vriendelijk personeel
Goed ontvangst.
The location - The Black Forest is always a favorite place!
This hotel was a huge disappointment and absolutely not worth the price. For what we paid, I expected a much higher standard of comfort and service, but instead, I was met with a series of frustrating and unacceptable issues:
• Breakfast was a joke. A tiny selection of the same items every day, only available for two hours. Within 40 minutes, several things had already run out—and they weren’t refilled. On top of that, guests are told where to sit, which made the whole experience feel rigid and unpleasant.
• The sauna was open just three hours a day—in the late afternoon only. When the weather was bad, the hotel showed zero flexibility to adapt to guests’ needs. For a place that markets itself as relaxing or wellness-oriented, this was completely unacceptable.
• Check-out is at the exact same time as breakfast, which creates unnecessary stress and gives the impression they just want to rush you out the door.
• The room lacked even basic amenities: no mini fridge, no kettle or coffee/tea setup—nothing that would justify the price we paid.
• Room service was sloppy and careless. One day they took our large bath towels and didn’t replace them—only left small ones. Another day, they forgot their cleaning product basket in our room. Completely unprofessional.
• The room was cold, damp, and uncomfortable, and the heating was turned off with no way to control it. This made the stay physically unpleasant.
• Some of the staff were unfriendly and uninterested, and the whole place operates with an outdated mindset that lacks warmth, attention to detail, or guest focus.
For the high price, I expected comfort, flexibility, and at least decent service. Instead, I got an overpriced, uncomfortable, and poorly managed experience. I absolutely would not return, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing or quality stay. There are far better options for much less money.
