My entire experience at the Yak and Yeti has been excellent. This iconic and historic hotel has always been known for luxury, but the incredibly friendly staff is what made my stay truly memorable. The staff at the club Shangri La (Shradha, Amar and Suman) truly went above and beyond to make me feel at home and taken care of. They are incredibly attentive. Jhapad at the breakfast buffet always takes care of my needs before I even have to ask. The front desk staff is exceptional and the housekeeping staff is as well. Thanks for another great stay, Yak and Yeti!
This beautiful elegant hotel is an oasis in the middle of the chaos of Kathmandu. The rooms are large and well appointed and there is a large quiet park like grounds in front of the hotel. I agree that the breakfast is a must - best breakfast that I have had ever! I particularly appreciated the kindness and good service provided by the staff (Jhapad in the dining room and the Conseirge Manager on the 4th Floor were especially helpful to me).
The staff were very helpful and happy, especially in the restaurant for breakfast. I did like the walking track and tennis courts.
The smokers!! In the bar area.
The entire staff at Yak and Yeti are outstanding! They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and appreciated. From the front desk, to the dining staff, to the bellmen, the cleaning staff, absolutely everyone in the Yak and Yeti building is truly the best.
Special thanks to Sabita, Jhapad, and Anisha for their amazing hospitality.
The hotel is so unique and classic. Customer service is the best. Many thanks to the staff in the Spice Room - hotel restaurant which provides delicious food. Oh my God, their breakfast is WOW. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families and friends.
Beautiful historic hotel
The facilities could be better maintained, particularly the spa
Our stay at Hotel Yak & Yeti was fantastic. Muskan was one of the best, and the LDCC tour she arranged for us was a highlight of our visit.
Fantastic location, good breakfast and excellent staff and hospitality. Special mention has to go to Miss Muskan at guest relation exec. She went out of her way to assist with my questions and assisting me in making sure I had a safe to pasupathinath temple. Will definitely come back here again
Everything
Nothing
This is a great hotel in central Kathmandu. The rooms are very nice and the rates are very reasonable. The staff is very helpful and go out of their way to help you and answer any questions. The grounds have much history and they will give you a free tour if you ask. Only warning is that if you are there during “wedding season” and have a room overlooking the gardens, any events might be a bit more “participatory” than planned (We were there for 5 weddings over 8 days. 4 were no problem, one felt like we were in the middle of a disco-Bollywood production). Overall a great place and highly recommended.
Very good, good atmosphere, good rooms, good room service, good care, good resturant, good ambience, good lounge, good food
Loved my stay at Yak & Yeti, as always
I always stay here when I’m in Kathmandu. This time I was on the Club Floor (4th floor with lounge), and the service was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so attentive and amazing. I’ll definitely be back and will ask for this floor again. ✨
The grounds were landscaped and inviting. Spices restaurant was very good and the service was excellent.
We stayed here a week while attending a wedding. Great ambiance; fabulous service from everyone (esp by Muskan, Japhad and Rikesh); comfortable lodging and tasty, dependable food quality. We had a Heritage room overlooking the garden with a fridge, AC, queen bed and a waterfall head shower stall in the bathroom. Central location in Kathmandu was perfect. Look forward to returning!
Room very comfy n clean. Staff very nice and helpful always with a smile, front desk recommendation to drishtee, shisham and jasma, f&b especially to naresh and amisha. An experience warranting another stay very soon.
Nice high-end hotel. The facilities were lovely, with two great restaurants and spa facilities. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was decent.
I had a good stay - had booked online as was attending a conference at the same venue
The location was good and staff very friendly and helpful
I used their concierge for temple darshan which was quite reasonable
Overall good experience
I stayed at Yak & Yeti before and after my hike to Everest Base Camp and found the hotel warm and inviting, with incredible attention to detail from the ENTIRE staff. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, the breakfast buffet was extensive with an egg station and yummy surprises brought to your table. Most of all, I must give much praise to the 4th Floor Shangri-La Club Team - Shradha, Amar, and Suman. They were always wonderful, kind, and cheerful. They actually made our day with a surprise for the completion of our hike upon our return. It was like visiting your best friend after a long day out. Highly recommend getting a club-level rooms! You won't regret the hospitality, food, and drink.
