Excellent and conveniently located place to stay for a short city break.
Pros:

The staff were very professional and excellent. It was a great location for our quick trip to Marselle. The breakfast was delicious and the staff in the restaurant very helpful and kind.

Cons:

I did not appreciate the 100 signs about the resuable water bottle and the 9 Euro cost should it be taken. When you pay 300+ Euro for a room, one small reuable water bottle should be free, if someone wants it. On top, it's good marketing for the hotel. Or not, but the threatening signs plastered all over were not befitting of a hotel in this price bracket.

On avait réservé une chambre 16 mètres carrés donc pour plus d espaces et la chambre en elle même n était pas plus grande car c était le couloir de l entrée de la chambre , les 3 métrées carrés en plus..

Marseille ist eine aussergewöhnliche, sehr interessante Stadt.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels. Eine Dusche und eine Badewanne waren vorhanden. Die Einrichtung war sehr schön.

Ich war in einem winzigen Zimmer mit sehr niedriger Decke untergebracht, das direkt auf eine Strasse mit Nachtclub mit sehr lauter Musik bis drei Uhr morgens zeigt. Die Fenster sind überhaupt nicht isoliert, es ist als läge man mitten im Club. Ich habe zwei Nächte lang fast nicht geschlafen. Auf meine Beschwerde wurde erst gar nicht, dann mit einem genervten Schulterzucken reagiert. Das Personal ist überfordert und unfreundlich. Ich habe keine Ahnung, warum dieses Hotel vier Sterne hat. Es ist eine Unverschämtheit solche Zimmer zu diesem Preis zu vermieten.
Es hat keine Minibar im Zimmer, es gibt kein Mineralwasser. Man erhält eine winzige Karaffe, die man sich selbst im Restaurant Bereich füllen muss. Bei 35 Grad ständig bis ins Parterre zu gehen, um einen Schluck Wasser zu bekommen, ist eine Zumutung.
Ich reise sehr viel, so etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt, zu so einem Preis.

Gutes Hotel, aber nachts sehr laut

Das Hotel ist an sich sehr schön. Die Lage ist (abgesehen vom nächtlichen Lärm - siehe unten) sehr gut, man kommt in der ganzen Stadt zu Fuß herum und hat auch viele nette Lokale in der Nähe. Wir hatten einen Tag morgens Frühstück, das war sehr gut und bot eine große Auswahl. Das Personal war sehr nett.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist direkt am zentralen Platz am Hafen gelegen. Obwohl wir ein Zimmer auf die Seitenstraße hin hatten, war es nachts dadurch extrem laut. Auf dem Platz wurde jede Nacht die ganze Nacht getrommelt, geschrien, Musik abgespielt und gehupt. Ich bin eigentlich nachts nicht sehr geräuschempfindlich, aber hier habe selbst ich unbedingt Ohropax gebraucht.
Unser Zimmer war außerdem recht dunkel (dunkle Wände, schwarze Möbel etc) und dadurch und durch die Einrichtung wirkte es teilweise etwas dreckiger als es eigentlich war. ZB hing im Zimmer ein "Vintage"-Spiegel, bei dem ich nicht sagen kann, ob er extrem dreckig war (was dann sehr eklig gewesen wäre) oder ob das einfach der "Style" des Spiegels war.

Pros:

Super séjour à l'hôtel Maison de Monde ! Idéalement situé sur le vieux port, à distance de marche de tous les sites d'intérêts de cette jolie ville qu'est Marseille. Très bon petit-déjeuner, un peu cher mais que des produits frais et une équipe charmante qui est aux petits soins. Notre chambre était belle, l'esprit maison du monde... Une très jolie déco, des objets stylés, une literie parfaite, une machine à expresso avec des capsules approvisionnées tous les matins, une propreté irréprochable, bref ! Je conseille cet hôtel, allez-y les yeux fermés ! Mention spéciale au gardien de nuit qui nous a sauvé d'un retard pour notre vol retour, sans lui nous aurions loupé notre avion ! Un grand merci à lui.
