Hotel DOM offers 5 studios, which are small apartments. They are located on the 4th floor of a tenement house located 250 meters from the main train station in St. Gallen (you can easily get around on foot, even with large luggage), 600 meters from the cathedral and 850 meters from the Kunstmuseum. There is an elevator in the building.
The studio I was in (No. 1) was cozy and adequate to my needs. The kitchen is equipped with appliances enabling you to prepare your own meals (small oven, induction hob, pots, pans, electric kettle, coffee maker, small fridge). The bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer.
The area is quiet and peaceful. There is a lovely view from the windows. The studios are definitely an offer aimed at people traveling alone.
Unfortunately, before arrival, due to an error, I did not receive a PIN code allowing me to enter the building and a code for the locker with a card opening the door to the studio. However, thanks to the professional service of the hotel, I finally managed to get into the studio.
A certain problem is the lack of a wardrobe for clothes. It is replaced by coat pegs for jackets and a hanging roll with hangers. However, the studios are located in the attic, so it is understandable that it is difficult to accommodate a large wardrobe.

Great little room. Did bang my head a couple of times, but figured it out quickly. The little kitchenette was a great feature. The oven could use some instructions, as a North American traveller I have no experience with the model in the room. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. I prefer the open storage in the room using the hooks and hangers to closed closets. Things air out and dry more efficiently. There is also a clothesline in the shower, a great feature missing from so many hotel rooms these days.
