Couldn’t find a place on property to watch sports and have a cocktail….awesome
Went to enjoy the weird city of Austin but never left the hotel. Between the fitness center and the rooftop pool no reason to leave.
The location
This hotel is amazing. They have the best group sales coordination team on the planet. Janice is the best room coordinator of all time.
I just went to the coffee shop didn't know there was breakfast
Smell coming from bathroom sink drain was pretty rank
This hotel is outstanding! Prompt and friendly customer service, hotel and room amenities, cleanliness and affordability make it a definite must stay location! The rooftop pool and views are wonderful!
(It's close to dirty 6th so you might hear cars racing and doing donuts on Saturday night until 2 or 3am, but that is not something Omni can control).
Location, room and staff
Restaurant menu was very limited.
Comfortable modern rooms
Great pool
Pool bar is very expensive
The front desk staff was super team: Sebastian,Kendal, francisco, Jacob, Diane ,caleb, rain, even maintenance - Malcolm & engenieer jose to name a few all made our 32nd anniversary most memorable
They greeted us & made sure our stay was wonderful, an issue happen with our room & Diane fixed it immediately/ even Nathen at the A Capitol restaurant was amazing! Good food amazing customer service & hotel views were just awesome. Not to mention the pool on the roof! So cozy up there
For the price I paid, I expected a seamless, high-quality experience. I travel frequently and value my time off, which made this stay especially disappointing.
I’ve stayed at Omni properties before and associate the brand with luxury and great service. I booked through the American Express Hotel Collection as a Platinum member and paid extra for a Deluxe King room, so I expected any upgrade to be an improvement.
At check-in, I was told I had been upgraded to a balcony room. While the view was nice, the room itself was extremely small, dated, and the refrigerator didn’t work (which I needed for medication). After the issue was escalated, I was moved and later informed that I had actually been downgraded by mistake.
Although the issue was eventually corrected, there was no acknowledgment or apology from the front desk or management. The only person who truly helped was a housekeeper who went above and beyond—her professionalism made a big difference.
The delays with check-in, fixing the refrigerator, and moving rooms took up most of our evening. My brother was visiting from out of town, and by the time we were settled, our plans were ruined. Even after the move, the room still felt outdated, while my brother received a larger, newly renovated room despite paying less.
On a positive note, the housekeeping staff was excellent, the food was great, and the pool area was a highlight. Sharif at the bar provided outstanding service and drinks.
I also experienced a lack of pricing transparency—valet was advertised at $59 plus tax but ended up costing $75 with additional fees.
Due to these issues, I chose to move to another hotel rather than extend my stay. Overall, the most frustrating part was feeling misled about the room upgrade. I hope future guests receive the level of honesty and service Omni is known for.
Hi to be honest with you I have never listened to the ''real ass podcast'' before but I thought louis J Gomez was super funny I love Shane Gillis too and I'm disappointed in your Hotels in ability to connect someone to wi-fi it shouldn't be that hard to do. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I have only been to Austin once but, when I do, and I will visit Austin Again, I probably won't stay here because it's probably going to be pretty expensive. Anyways have a nice day! I found a new great podcast to listen to so today's been a great day for me
I liked the location, pool, and the bed were amazing
The food at the pool were over priced
Great location, room was excellent, breakfast and staff very obliging
No complaints
Restaurant options were great. Rooftop pool was fun.
If we could have seen the fireworks from the roof it would have been perfect.
My experience and stay at the Omni downtown Austin was a World class experience. The front desk personnel were extremely polite and helpful. However, the restaurant was something to live for.. i will be staying here every time I come back through Austin.
Disappointing stay. The WiFi was slow and constantly disconnected, which made it difficult to get anything done. On top of that, a manager named Mario was acting extremely unprofessionally in the lobby and repeatedly telling people he was a “real @ss dude.” Definitely not what I expected from an Omni property.
