Gute Lage, ansonsten ein unterkühlter Aufenthalt
Pros:

Die Lage in der Mitte der Altstadt ist sehr gut. Zum Stadtsaal muß man nur über die Straße. Die Bushaltestelle (z. B. um mit dem Shuttle-Bus zu den Jazzkonzerten in der Wackerhalle zu fahren) ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Beim Jazzkeller ist man in 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Hotel atmet Geschichte, ist aber grundsätzlich auf der Höhe der Zeit. Das Bad in der Juniorsuite war groß und modern, die Regendusche aber eher ein Rinnsal.

Cons:

Das Upgrade auf eine Junior-Suite hat sich als Downgrade herausgestellt. Das Zimmer lag im hintersten Winkel neben einer Baustelle im Dach, wo offensichtlich der eiskalte Nordwind ins Haus kam. Mit jeder Treppenstufe, die wir uns dem Zimmer näherten (das letzte Halbgeschoss bis zum Zimmer gab es keinen Lift), sank die Temperatur merklich. Das Zimmer war, das Bad ausgenommen, kühl. Am ersten Abend war der Aufenthalt nur mit der Bettdecke über der Kleidung angenehm. Der kleine Heizkörper war für das Zimmer jedenfalls in der Zeit der Baustellenumgebung unzureichned, Am nächsten Tag wurde vom Hotel mit einem elektrischen Heizlüfter Abhilfe geschaffen, was aber wegen des Geräusches und der unterschiedlichen Temperaturverteilung auch nur eine Notlösung war. Auch war das Zimmer bei der Rückkehr von Konzerten oder Ausflügen immer wieder kalt, bis der Heizlüfter gewirkt hat. In Abwesenheit wollten wir ihn nicht laufen lassen.
Ein einziger haushaltsüblicher Kaffeeautomat ist für die Zahl der Gäste unzureichend.

Pros:

Abendessen herausragend gut. Lage toll, Ausstattung sehr schön.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war mangelhaft, (09:30h) keine Auswahl, nur 2 Wurstsorten und 1 Käsesorte. Kuchen war nur mehr 1 Stück da. Leere Platten die auch nicht aufgefüllt worden sind, obwohl auch nach uns noch Gäste kamen. Eier konnte man extra bestellen.

Pros:

Hotel direkt in der Altstadt mit einem sehr abwechslungsreichem Frühstück, das leider nicht im Zimmerpreis enthalten war.

Cons:

Unser Zimmer hatte ein Fenster zum Gang des Hotels, dies bedeutete, dass leider keine frische Luft ins Das Zimmer roch somit leider ziemlich abgestanden.

Zentral, freundliches Personal, Abendessen sehr lecker, Bedienung freundlich, schnell, zuvorkommend.

Cons:

Frühstücksorga eher Katastrophe. Um 9.00 Uhr war fast nichts mehr am Buffet. Keine Butter, keine Eier, Wurst-und Käseplatte ausgeräubert, keinen Joghurt. Wurde auch von sich aus nicht aufgefüllt. Erst als wir danach fragten und auch andere Gäste die Bedienungen darauf aufmerksam machten, wurde aufgefüllt. Plätze waren nicht eingedeckt, kein Besteck vorhanden, keine Eierbecher. Die bestellten Rühreier kamen gar nicht. Eher überraschend, da am Vortag alles reibungslos geklappt hat. Vielleicht einfach einen schlechten Tag erwischt.
