A pleasant week's stay
Pros:

Great location for touring.
Very friendly and helpful staff in all departments.
Very good food in the restaurant, and the same at breakfast.
Room was comfortable.

Cons:

Overall the decor was a bit tired and dated. 80s time warp!
Room refresh was poor. Toilet bowl left dirty on one occasion, table not wiped down to remove mug marks.
Lighting in the room too low, relied on a number of lamps. It needed brighter ceiling lights.

Widerlich und dreckig

Cons:

Es ist unglaublich dreckig. Der Teppich ist bestimmt 30 Jahre alt, stinkt extrem, wellt sich bereits vom Boden ab und hat überall Flecken. Die dicken Vorgänge stinken ebenfalls extrem. Keine klima, unglaublich heiß im Zimmer. Lüften geht nicht, da man die fenster maximal ganz leicht kippen kann. Wasser im Bad läuft ständig, der duschvorhang ebenfalls eklig. Es war eines der ekligsten und dreckigsten hotels, in denen ich jemals war.
Das Frühstück, das so viele loben, war allerhöchstens okay. Also mit ganz ganz großem Abstand das schlechteste hotel unserer 7 tägigen reise (7 verschiedene hotels) dafür fast 200€ für eine Nacht ist mehr als frech.

Pros:

Rooms were spacious clean and comfortable. Had some lovely food in the restaurant. Can really recommend the mussels.

OK for two nights stay
Pros:

We were booked in on room only basis but we did eat in the restaurant one night, food was good, Staff a bit under pressure due to large coach party eating in adjacent room. We used Clayton Hotel for its location to Cork and surrounding areas we wanted to visit.

Cons:

Our room was adequate and comfortable but didn't have air conditioning. The weather turned rather warm and made our room very hot. It was a very sunny facing room. Even though we had the windows open it was a very uncomfortable nights sleep.

Cork one-night stay
Pros:

Restaurant & bar on-site. Easy access to the room and parking.

Cons:

Not a negative but the location is in an industrial area. It was not really in the city center area which was OK with us. We did eat at the restaurant which was good but typical of hotel restaurant pricing but we didn't want to drive anywhere else.

Good parking, friendly reception staff who where happy to help

Cons:

Went to the bar to order drinks, bar man couldnt be bothered making cocktails so said they were not available even though they where on the menu. Breakfast was sitting out for quite some time and was skinned over and shrivelled
