A histic hotel full of charm with staff who treat guests royally!
The place was very nice with comfortable beds, great breakfast, & you can do laundry. It was also walkable to a lot of things to do.
Front desk person Anthe was welcoming, efficient in logging in our group individuals, and available for questions and conversation.
We stay every year. Only downside is no elevators and we are all getting up in the years
Transportation to/from airport and Alaska Marine Highway was appreciated.
Noisy, 2nd floor street side. Lots of traffic noise.
View room blocked by cruise ships.
Coffee was stronger than most. That's good.
This is a nearly 90 year old building so don't expect the Ritz. Rooms are small, sink is in the room rather than the bathroom, no AC. Coffee is in the lobby, but our room did have a decent sized refrigerator. Microwave in the hall next to ice chest. My main complaint is the WiFi did not work in our room, only in the hall.
The Gilmore Hotel is a historic hotel conveniently located in downtown Ketchikan. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms, while dated, are clean and comfortable.
Didn’t like when we opened our window it looked like it was under construction outside.
The building was turn off the century, old, but very charming. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Location great, right where all the cruise ships dock. Just choose a room with ocean view to see all the action.
The owners and staff in hotel are great. The rooms Ihave had are very minimal without outside window or closet but space to hang clothes and clean
Excellent location and nice room and restaurant
The hotel is old, the rooms are small, and the facilities are uncomfortable. The presentation online misrepresents the quality of the hotel and rooms.
This hotel was built in 1928 so don't expect it to be like a modern day hotel. There is no elevator which makes it difficult for people with disabilities. Very quaint and what is handy is a restaurant right next door and oon the other side a place for ice cream, quick morning breakfast and other delights.
Excellent location. Great value for money and staff very welcoming
Location was great. Allowed access to most shops, bars and restaurants. Hotel is historic and quaint.
Very old building, nothing like the pictures, it is next to the loud bar, no elevator, not for family.
Authentic Ketchikan hotel in s great location. Excellent free coffee and large comfortable rooms.
This property is very old and in need of renovation. The building is a cool historical building from the early 1900s, but the room offerings are poor with old slumping mattresses and poor ventilation. We arrived on a warm week in Ketchikan and it was extremely stuffy and hot in the rooms. The area was loud, but close to coffee and one of the only restaurants open after cruise ships depart, so that was good.
