It was OK, nothing special. It was a bit strange having 2 entrances.
It meant that if you wanted a tea or coffee then you had to leave one part of the home, walk a few metres down the street and then re-enter via the main reception area. Not ideal first thing in morning.
But my biggest disappointment was that I had booked to stay in the Hotel Bristol, not the AROK. My wife and I have a retirement hobby to visit as many as we can around the world. Every little part of the Hotel Bristol name had been removed throughout the hotel - there was no evidence that it has ever been a Hotel Bristol. Sad.
This review is to compliment Hotel Le Bristol for taking the initiative to rebook my room at their sister hotel, AROK, when the room I originally booked with them became unavailable due to renovations. Other places would have left me in the lurch, scrambling to find a last minute replacement, but Hotel Le Bristol ensured that my travel remained stress-free and, for that, I am immensely grateful. I felt that Hotel Le Bristol was very generous in their choice of room to make amends for any inconvenience and it was a delightful surprise. Through this kind gesture, Hotel Le Bristol proves their commitment to the comfort of their visitors and I will not forget that kindness. My next visit to Strasbourg will certainly find me at Hotel Le Bristol due to the courtesy of their staff and the excellent location near the train station and within easy walking distance of the city center.
Helpful staff, great location, fab breakfast.
Excellent location, great that checking out can be late, very helpful staff
I wish there were slightly more options for breakfast (e.g. fried egg, bacon)

Modern room with big windows that actually open. Very clean and friendly multilingual personal.
Excellent location. Big corner room with lots of light. Good breakfast. Antonio at reception was very helpful.
Small but sufficient breakfast bar. Its just across the Plaza form the train station. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and its only a short walk away from the main attractions of Strasbourg. The room was surprisingly spacious, the bathroom seemed recently renovated.
Convenient location, just opposite the main station.
The hotel was having some major renovations done when I stayed. There were dust sheets on all the floors and men doing re-wiring and painting in the corridors and public areas. I know these things have to be done, but for guests it is not very nice. It does not feel like a comfortable place to come back to after you have been out trekking around the city. They should reduce the price or something.
The decor in my bedroom was horrible - all black and burgundy, and very cheap furniture.
The worst thing was that the windows were locked and the receptionist said they could not be opened because I was on the 4th floor (I imagine they are afraid of people falling out). It was swelteringly hot, about 36 degrees, and I HATE air conditioning, but there was no choice.
We liked its location, its excellent buffet breakfast and, most of all, their very comfortable beds. In general, a great place to stay.
Comfortable, clean hotel located near the train station, polite personal. If you arrive in Strasbourg after midnight this hotel is one of the most convenient for staying
The staff is super professional, smilie and helpful. Thank you guys for everything.
Big room with high ceilings, bay windows you can sit and read in. Private bathroom. Nice breakfast with plenty of choices. As close to the train station as you can be but is still quiet. From desk staff were kind and friendly.
Remodeling. This was no problem for us but we would have enjoyed seeing the finished product!
Close to trainstation, also near downtown.
Good breakfast
Hotel is in reconstruction, room was with view into inner
yard 5x5 m without view to anywhere. Price should be reduced under this conditions.
The receptionists set the tone – super friendly and helpful. My room had just been renovated, apparently one of the last, so I imagine they're all as new and modern as mine was. They were still working on the staircase, but it didn't affect the stay at all. I had a pleasant view onto the square and the breakfast was also very nice. The property is across the park from the central train station and within easy walking distance of the historic center, so very convenient. I also appreciated that the checkout was until noon.
I would just note that you couldn't open the windows. The room had its own cooling/heating system, which worked fine, but a little fresh air is always nice.
The location is great for trams and trains, being just across from the main station BUT it quiet and our room was exceptionally comfortable. It had air conditioning, a great shower and a very comfortable bed. It is situated next door to a pharmacy and a great bakery, and is literally three minutes walk from a street if restaurants. Walk on slightly further and you arrive at the river, from where you are ideally situated to explore Strasbourg. We have stayed in another hotel near the cathedral, which was full of old world charm, but would definitely return to the Bristol for it's modern comforts and great location.
The breakfast was okay, but not great. But it was good value for money. We were not welcomed by any staff member - we were asked for our room number but nothing was explained. If there was any hot food, we were not informed, but there were pictures of scrambled egg, for example, on the website.
There was no tea or coffee in the room.
