Stylish, meticulously clean, great location and outstanding service.

The whole vibe was luxurious - not just the room but the experience. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous and in the perfect location. The breakfast was also a stand out. In a destination like Malaysia where food is so good I wasn't necessarily keen on a "hotel breakfast" but this breakfast was so thoughtful and an experience in itself, especially the special Nonya style!!

This place is exceptional from start to finish. The staff genuinely couldn’t be more helpful or friendly, going above and beyond to make the stay feel personal and effortless. The location is spot on, making it easy to explore while still feeling like a retreat. Breakfast was a real highlight too an impressive range with excellent quality throughout. The room and overall service were unbelievable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Even the ambience stood out, with a luxurious scent in both the room and lobby that elevated the whole experience. With only six rooms, it feels incredibly intimate and personable more like a private hideaway than a typical hotel.

It was our first time staying at boutique hotel and it was amazing! Hotel is perfectly placed in the heart of old town, so we checked in and wandered around the town. There are many cafes, coffee shops and restaurants as well as craft shops. For dinner we booked a table in Tong restaurant within the hotel to enjoy local food with modern vision. All dishes and signature cocktails were delicious. After dinner we asked for evening bath services (it’s included), best decision btw - after another walk around hot bath with salt and aroma oils was even more enjoyable. Hotel staff was very responsive and hospitable, our room - cozy and stylish. Definitely will book again next time in Penang.

88 Armenian - this is a second visit, and the hotel and staff are just as delightful as before. I have a rather short 'approved list', and 88 Armenian is on the list. Location is excellent for those who want to experience culture and food as well as shopping. I went in April, which was the right time to avoid the crowds and the weather was not so hot, nor so wet as to be depressing or dehydrating. The quality of the hotel staff is just my cup of tea. I am greedy for snacks and they know it, so their complimentary range of Penang pastries really is just right to settle down to an hour (or two) of the free Netflix. Don't bother to bring a car - parking is almost non-existent - you are in the old part of Penang afterall. Just get a GRAB. Thanks to everyone at 88 Armenian, and if I am in Penang again I will be sure to swing by

The room was very spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a modern loft concept. The bathroom was a highlight, bright and stylish with a nice bathtub, giving a luxury boutique feel. The location is excellent, right in Armenian Street and close to many cafes and attractions. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and made the stay very comfortable.

Located centrally in the heart of Georgetown, walkable to a lot places of interest, cafe and local coffeeshop.

Impeccable service display by 88 Armenian from the moment we step in. The team is very knowledgable to share travel tips on both the touristy and very local tips for discerning guest who wish to follow local footsteps.

Thank to Amber & team for taking care of us even though it was a short stay. But the exemplary service left a deep lasting impression from recommending breakfast timing, the small chats, helping with the luggage and walk with us to the vehicle to sent us off. The service standard is really on par with big hotel group such as Raffles, Four Season, Capella and more.

Once again thank you Amber & team for the hospitality. Will be back to Armenian during future visit! 😊

Hospitality - you feel like very important guest. It is very small - so of ypu have chance - you should book it for your stay in George Town. Good breakfasts.

It was in a great location, not too far from majority of the spots we wanted to go to, the staff were great, gave us a few reccommendations which were amazing, the amenities were spot on too! Best we’ve had! Would definately return

Tailor made and impeccable service

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is perfectly located, the room and bathroom were stunning and perfectly clean, and the breakfast was incredible and delicious. What made our stay even more memorable than all of this, was the people at 88 Armenian... they went above and beyond to make our stay easy and comfortable, and we were really touched by their kindness and thoughtful gestures.
