Le Jas de Joucas

The grounds of this property are very beautiful--the pool, the breakfast area, gorgeous. This is a very beautiful area as well. The room itself doesn't match the grounds--ours was built like a small mobile home instead of a permanent structure. It was very tiny and not particularly comfortable. We pack light, but if you have a lot of belongings it will be very crowded in there.

Our cabin had two tiny bathrooms; one was cleaned and prepared for us, but the other one still had the previous guests' garbage in it, and it was not restocked with soap, etc. Not a big deal, but when I mentioned it as we checked out they didn't seem surprised about this oversight, so that made me wonder about the general cleanliness of the rooms.

Again, the grounds are truly beautiful here, and the pool was so nice and very enjoyable with a gorgeous view. Just a mismatch between room quality and property quality. I do feel this is priced a bit high after seeing the room itself.

We stayed in one of the new Lumipod units with its own garden and hot tub. The building was incredibly good with spectacular views and even an oak tree giving a bit of much needed shade over the hot tub. We were experiencing 38degree temperatures and so went out early to explore the area and returned to cool off in our own private hot tub. It was bliss.
There are just two things I would say as a warning. Firstly there are two Lunipods right next to each other and only a row of immature shrubs between so there’s not much privacy until these have grown into a hedge. Secondly, are und the beautiful main pool there is absolutely no shade. No sun umbrellas or anything so unless you like frying in full sun it’s not somewhere you can relax for long.
The staff are efficient but not friendly. They are also extremely slow to reply to any email or text messages. However we had little to do with them during our stay and thus didn’t take away from our enjoyment of the amazing room

We had such a lovely stay! The reception lady was extremely accomodating and friendly. The property was magnificent and our room was perfect. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Will definitely be returning in future.

Superb location, quiet and easy access. The transition into a boutique hotel has worked and delivers a very good experience. The on=site restaurant operates at a high standard but when staying foe several days the menu is quickly consumed, perhaps a menu change a couple of times per week would enhance the experience but there are other restaurants to suit most pockets nearby,

Très bon séjour au Jas de Joucas. Une équipe aux petits soins, avec une restauration en demie-pension excellente. Le lieu est calme avec un plus pour le jacuzzi au milieu des oliviers.

Visiting Gordes and hiking Les dentelles mont miraille - great one night stay. Room was recently renovated and spacious with contemporary design. Curbless shower. Free standing tub. Separate living area , made room number 4 a superior choice. Make sure you reserve the restaurant ahead of time. Gastronomical experience. Finally the customer service was exceptional. Unfortunately, we discovered this paradise too late. On our trip through Provence, we only had the opportunity for one overnight stay and a very fine dinner in the restaurant belonging to the accommodation. The whole team was extremely accommodating and Guy who managed the stay for us was second to none. Thanks again for a wonderful time and hope to see you soon. Best regards Katja and Jan

We staid for two nights and really loved the hotel - the room was in excellent condition, very attentive staff, great pool and a wonderful surrounding in the middle of pine trees. All is accompanied by an excellent restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner - next to hotel breakfast in the morning. We will surely come back.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Le Jas de Joucas very much ! The hotel is located outside of town in a very beautiful and quiet area, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the wonderful views on the Luberon. In terms of location, while you are living in the middle of nature, the hotel is still close to many of the famous villages and sites in the luberon. We stayed at the beautiful appartment which has 2 bedrooms, a large living/eating area, a fully equipped kitchen and a large terrace with a great view, absolutely fabulous ! The staff has been very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent with fresh and delicious choices. Unfortunately we didn‘t get a chance to have dinner at the restaurant during our stay, but we will most definitely be back at this great hotel ! Highly recommended !

This is a great hotel in a beautiful rustic setting! We went as a family of 4 with our two daughters. Our daughters loved the pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast every morning was incredible. Everything was homemade. The location of the hotel was central to visiting many other towns in Provence. Can’t wait to go back!

A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was huge and had great views - big enough for our party of 3 adults and could have easily accommodated 4.
Restaurant attached to hotel was amazing - great gourmet food in a spectacular Al fresco setting.
Our only criticism is that there wasn’t a massive choice - especially for vegetarians. We ate there both nights of our stay, and the veggies in our party had to have the same dishes on both nights.
