When I arrived at 5:30 pm to check in, I was told by the front desk that they had canceled my reservation because they didn't have a credit card on file for me. They were NOT SUPPOSED to have a credit card on file, I booked with Booking.com, who had my credit card info. Per the booking terms, I would pay at Boarders at check in. Had I not shown, Booking.com would have charged my card and reimbursed Boarders. I was left without a hotel room on graduation weekend for the local college as well as many high schools. There were no other rooms available within a 40 mile radius. We cut our trip to the area short and drove 2+ hours home, as we had no other choice. Boarders had NO REASON to cancel, particularly so early in the day - my guess is that someone showed up without a reservation and offered a premium for my room. Never did the front desk even say "sorry" or make any kind of apology. They acted as if it was my fault because they didn't have my credit card info, which they were NOT SUPPOSED to have, and couldn't reach me to get it. I have stayed at hotels all over the US and SE Asia using Booking.com and NEVER experienced any issues like I did at Boarders. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES AND EITHER TOTALLY IGNORANT OF THEIR AGREED TERMS OF SERVICE OR TOTALLY UNETHICAL.
Sehr ruhig, nettes Personal, sauber , dass Frühstück war für amerikanische Verhältnisse richtig gut, es gab sogar Obst ( nicht in Plastik verpackt)

Given that it's the only hotel in town, the niche--hunting lodge--decor is a bad choice. Everything is in cringingly bad taste. But the bed was comfy and there were plenty of pillows, so points for that.

Overall it was a good experience. The hotel was clean. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast had a decent selection, but if you’re not a waffle or cereal person you will want to go out for breakfast. Bed was comfy and clean. The decor was a little dated, but I liked the rustic cabin vibe. Overall I would recommend and stay again.
Decor was nice. Enjoyed the theme. Rustic furniture,etc. Breakfast was good,more than I expected. Besides the standard,cereal,muffins,bagels bread,,waffles,juices, and coffee. They also had,sausage links and boiled eggs. Negative- electricity went off when the hair dryer and microwave were being used at the same time.No shower gel when already in the bathtub to shower.
