Sunrise Beach Koh Yao Resort

My entire experience at Sunrise Beach was great. Friendly service, and the bungalows were roomy and very clean. They also rented motorbikes and offered laundry service …and of course great sunrises!!

We enjoyed how quiet the property was. We experienced a couple of issues with A/C and hot water but someone came to fix right away. Very respectful people. So glad we took pictures of the scooter we rented as the “company” they rented from wanted to charge us for damage that was already done!

I thought it was cute, generally clean and management very polite and accommodating.
They helped us find motorcycles to rent, gave us a map, offered to wash, dry and fold our dirty laundry (for a reasonable fee). They even called us a taxi for our next stay on the island!

I liked the welcoming hosts and the quiet surrounding.

No frills family run hotel, with beach front. It’s quiet. The owner is very friendly and willing to scooter you around. The family does it all, not sure there’ll be anyone available after bedtime :) it was the cleanest hotel I stayed at in Thailand. And I stayed at 5! No entertainment, spa etc. Super chill, family run and just what I needed. I wish I stayed longer here. Very rural.

It's a family run small business and they really make you feel welcome and included.
Our bungalow was immaculate and well appointed........ with a sea view too. No pool but easy walk to to swim at high tide.
Would definitely recommend staying there.

Die Anlage besteht aus 6 Bungalows, wird wirklich sehr sauber gehalten und von einer Gastgeberfamilie mit liebe geführt.

Es konnten nicht alle Englisch sprechen, aber die junge Dame die mich eincheckt hat und meine Ansprechpartnerin war, hat sehr gut Englisch gesprochen und hat alles sehr lieb erklärt.
Auf dem Zimmer hat man Trinkwasser zur Verfügung.
Frühstück wird für 200 Baht am Tag angeboten und bestand aus einer kleinen aber feinen Auswahl.
Man hat mir auf Wunsch auch einen Roller anbieten können und mir am Abreisetag angeboten, mich zum Hafen zu fahren für einen guten Preis.
Das war wirklich sehr freundlich!
Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen, aber im allgemeinen ist dieser Ort eher zur Erholung gedacht.
Leider kann man an dem Strandteil nicht wirklich schwimmen gehen, da dort alles steinig ist und auch leider nicht sauber gehalten wird.

I would classify this resort as a hidden gem. If you are looking for relaxation , privacy and a nice room this is it . If you want more of a resort feel with more people and a bar , this isn’t . Plenty of

The view is excellent and the friendliness of the staff was top notch . They will also cook you food upon request and it was good as well. They also had some nice motor scooters to rent . This was our first trip to Koh Yao Yai, as we usually stay at the neighboring island Koh Yao Noi. There are some sandy beaches a few miles north , and more on the southern west side of the island . I wil definitely stay here again , rooms were pretty nice and AC worked well.

We spent 4 nights at this wonderfully tranquil family-run resort. We were greeted by the proprietor, who introduced herself as “B.” From the moment we arrived, she and the members of her extended family were welcoming and helpful. Our little bungalow was comfortable (although the bed was quite firm!) and had a fabulous view of the bay. They provided breakfast and dinner in their little family run restaurant. We could have stayed in the resort the whole time, but we rented their scooter for an afternoon and went around the island which was charming. It’s a fabulous place to get away from it all and just slow down and enjoy nature’s beauty.

It was like paradise, absolutely calm, you can only listen the nature and the sea. The personal is very nice and friendly

Super emplacement sur le bord de la plage, les chambres sont très confortables et ont une magnifique vue. Le personnel est attentionné et tellement accueillant.
Nous y sommes allées post covid donc le restaurant sur place n'était pas ouvert, il faut marcher une quinzaine de minutes pour aller dans les restaurants de la rue principale. Louer un scooter pour la durée du sejour peut être très pratique!

Great stay.. friendly people, fantastic view, comfortable bed, pity the beach in front is a bit too rocky, but better beaches too not far.
Best if you have your own transport as it is about 30 minutes from the pier.

Lovely people, delicious food, you can see the beautiful view from your room. We like it very much Suitable for resting. It's quiet, good to see nature. We advise you to come and rest here. be it a lover, family or alone.

Sehr sehr freundlicher Service aller Mitarbeiter. Uns wurde auch ein sehr guter Motorroller zur Verfügung gestellt.

Touristisch am Anfang befindlichen Insel sucht, der muss in dieses kleine Resort. Zimmer sind ganz modern und neu, toller Stil...

Good Bungalows in the first row to the sea. Pretty beautiful insight and outside. The only thing the owners could improve is communication with the guests. They are really nice but served us a plate with eggs and sausage which was really nice but we don’t eat meat. They didn’t ask and we were the only guests.... all in all a good place to stay for a few nights.
