Very little, the layout of the room could have been better with regard to viewing the television. Need to have more convenient usb charging sockets.
We like the ethos. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Parking available. You can walk to the cricket ground and in the evening to many restaurants.
Breakfast can be hot and miss with not everything available. Bathroom fans never switch off.

Rooms were not very sound proofed and breakfast menu was not that good not much choice only realy fried food no real choice of food
The person working evening / night was lovely, even though I arrived later than expected. Fresh milk for the room is a lovely touch. Bedroom was really big and bathroom is spacious with an excellent walk in shower. Large comfy bed with decent pillows and cotton bedding. Breakfast is cooked to order and delicious, with proper thick toast (none of that cheap thin bread that you often get these days). Right opposite the station which is great after a long journey. My colleague had driven - registering for the car parking was easy. I love the values of the hotel, which is run by the YMCA, and will definitely stay here again :-)

The staff were amazing. So friendly, welcoming and helpful. The night watchman was absolutely super. Car parking available no charge. Easy 10 minute walk into town.
Room was rather expensive for what it was. No hair conditioner in bathroom, toilet seat was loose, not enough sockets in bedroom and limited clothes hanging space/ hangers. However I failed to mention any of this during my stay so no opportunities for the wonderful staff to remedy these minor issues.

Stay good until breakfast. Fridge not working in kitchens. This was not the fault of staff. However the alternative breakfast was terrible. Opted for scrambled eggs - 1st offering - what appeared hard boiled eggs chopped up on toast 1 inch thick. Returned. Proper scrambled eggs but very solid and overcooked - again on very thick toast. No marmalade - this is breakfast. Very disappointing. If you can’t make scrambled eggs don’t offer it.
Very convenient hotel with extremely pleasant staff. Had to change rooms after one night as extractor fan in bathroom was very noisy.

Room slightly noisy, bar closes early and no evening meals. Effectively you need to go out to enjoy a meal and drink. Saying that there are several pubs and restaurants in walking distance but drinks with snack evening meals would be useful in the hotel until a little later than 8.
Close to the station. Can was to Taunton Cricket ground. Can walk to restaurants in the evening. But above all we support its ethos.
