We had a wedding anniversary was worth a lovely stay friendly staff assisted us very well. Buffey was lovely

Perfect hotel to stay for business or leisure. Central location. I recommend this hotel in Swakopmund.

My stay was better than expected as this was a very busy season and most hotels were fully booked. The location was great as it is easily accessible to shops and restaurants, even by walking. My appointments were no more than 10 minutes away by car. The buffet breakfast and dinner selections were varied and tasty and would satisfy all palettes. The property is well maintained and the pool looked inviting, but I had no swimsuit. The staff are all very helpful, friendly, and respectful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Large hotel created from the old railway station; pleasant with a slight sense of faded elegance. Generally clean and tidy, and good location just off the old centre of town. Good soundproofing, Lovely central courtyard with pool, comfortable bed, The complex includes a restaurant, a casino and a gym aimed at serious weight-lifters.

The professionalism and authentic staff made all the difference. The improvements in the rooms are noticeable, especially the refurbishment in the bathrooms and sleep quality.

Nice hotel and well placed in the centre of Swakop. However the room are quite old and need renovation which I understand is currently ongoing at least on part of the premises. Quite disappointing the fact to pay separately for having a cappuccino during breakfast (not included in the B&P fare)

N ice historic hotel. Well presented rooms and grounds and lounge area is nice place to spend a couple of hours. Food and staff are also very good. Would have rates more highly but for being given a room facing a wall instead of the pool and courtyard which kind of defeated the point of this hotel’s amenities. Overall happy enough with the caveat about what room you get

We stayed here for two nights. We would have happilly stayed longer. The room we had had doors that opened out onto the pool area. Very peaceful. They were lots of loungers closer to the pool area. The rooms and bathrooms were a little tired, but did not detract from the fact that this is a lovely place to stay. Old fashioned charm. The builidng used to be the old railway station and there are signs of this all around. It is a tranquil oasis in busy Swakopmund. Both nights we ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was great, the service very good.

My stay at the Swakopmund Hotel was awesome! The hotel staff were extremely friendly, and the location is perfect. Breakfast at Platform One Restaurant was very nice—tasty and enjoyable. However, some of the restaurant staff could use a bit more “I like my job and want to be here” energy. Still, a fantastic experience overall—I’d definitely come back!

Beautiful beach front establishment. Swakopmund Hotel, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was perfect.

The hotel itself is a stunning blend of historic charm and modern luxury. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and spotlessly clean. My room had a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, and I loved waking up to the sound of the waves each morning. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities provided were top-notch.

Dining at The Swakopmund Hotel was a culinary delight. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, and the dinner at their on-site restaurant was exquisite. I highly recommend trying their local seafood dishes – they were some of the best I’ve ever had!

The location is perfect for exploring Swakopmund. The hotel is within walking distance of everything.

We as a family had our Christmas lunch here.
Big variety of wonderful dishes but it did not match any of my food experiences in Namibia.
They should step up their game because every one around them is doing an amazing job.
Besides the food the Venue and atmosphere was great.

My Colleague from SA booked to stay at this hotel and both of us were very disappointed in the Swakop Hotel and Entertainment Centre.
The cost is very high for the very ordinary and unspectacular accommodation. I booked directly on the website as a local and paid more than my Colleague who booked through an agent in SA which is a real ripoff!
I have never been able to get an invoice for the stay because the link when I paid did not work, the receptionist could not print it and my emails and phone calls have not been answered.
The rooms are small and there did not seem to be a main light in the bedroom so I had to work with the very dim bedside light.
There is no separate shower and you have to shower over the bath.
The Wi-Fi did not work on either my phone or laptop and none of the reception staff were able to assist.
There are many far better places to stay in Swakopmund that are a lot cheaper.
I will not stay there again.

hotel under renovation ,just a mess of builders materials .this hotel should be closed while renovating.the hotel itself was a disappointment ,after staying here 15 years ago it was a shadow of its former status.old mattresses ,lumpy pillows carpets needed a good clean, overall overpriced and as stated when renovating close the hotel.the breakfast was sub standard buffet for the price we paid ,can not recommend this hotel ,strand hotel upmarket better in all respects.

Beautiful gem in the town of Swakopmund, with easy access to get your daily step counts in along the beach and breath in that Atlantic Ocean air. Service level by the staff was awesome! We tend to be so critical of service levels, can say well done to the team at the Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment center, especially Platform One restaurant

It was a beautiful old style hotel. It is still under renovation some part of hotel. But it was quite and cozy.
