We loved it here. The only thing that was an issue was while we were showering, the water would constantly kick into SUPER hot water and burnt us a few times. Other than that we were happy with everything!
very loud and smell from the kitchen came into the room.. would not stay again
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was walkable to area restaurants, shops, and pubs. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Above all, the staff were outstanding.
Great location but photos misleading. Its really a hotel next to a great pub, with rooms over pub and music until 2 am. That all was manageable but when i pulled back the curtains in our tiny room, the insides were covered in mold and the air conditioner also was. I dont know how this hotel got high reviews.
Absolutely amazing room! Staff was incredibly friendly- esp Sioban, who called before our arrival to make sure we knew where to park. The bar downstairs was fun as well with a great band and lots of energy . Would definitely recommend!
Room over bar was noisy until 2 am with beat of bass!
Great location walkable to the bus station and most other tourist attractions, including the most popular pubs. Lots of options nearby.
Small room, no view, comfortable bedding, great location and adjoining pub was great. Helpful staff.
If you want to actually be able to sleep at night, don’t stay here. There’s loud music every night to 1am or 2am in the morning. If you’re in Galway to party, then this is the place for you.
the room was great but very loud bar attached which was loud late on the weekend. otherwise staff very friendly and helpful
Rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. Very convenient location. There is noise from the bar but we knew that going in, and it is not obnoxious. Staff was great.
Good location
This property was amazing. Loved the bar and eating areas as well as the convenience at the park and surrounding areas.
.
From the time we walked in the door until the day we checked out, the people at the front desk went out of their way to make our stay the best ever. They were awesome!!! The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Additional we loved going down to the bar to listen to the live music. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you ever get a chance!!!
Great locstion. Bed was good too.
We had a very comfortable stay at the Skeffington Arms in Galway. We had 2 rooms for a family of 4. The beds were comfortable, and there was air conditioning in each room. One of our rooms' air conditioning units was not working properly, and the room was a bit warm, but not bad. We were located in the back of the hotel, so we were not disturbed by the music in the pub downstairs. We immensely enjoyed the musician at the Skeff Bar. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The building is a beauty, but old, so all things considered, they have nicely kept the old building updated with modern amenities. I stayed in many hotels throughout my travels in Ireland, and this hotel has, by far, the best water pressure of any place I stayed. It was amazing and worth the price of the stay! I would stay here again when visiting Galway.
Was right in heart of the city center. Favourite place in Ireland
Front desk was kind and helpful. Room was clean and in good condition. Close to everything was a great spot
Firstly, the staff is INCREDIBLE. Just the nicest, most helpful team I’ve come across during my team in Ireland. otherwise, the hotel is as described in many reviews, older space, partially renovated, great location, can be noisy until 1-2am due to downstairs daily live music. Service 5 star, hotel as described- 3 star.
