Pros:

Hotel shut down in March apparently. Still had a reservation and wasn’t contacted from hotel or Expedia about hotel closing. It was a mess and a very busy weekend to try and get another hotel in downtown. Wouldn’t recommend booking through Expedia for next time trip planning.

Pros:

DO NOT BOOK!!!!

This hotel went out of business without notification. I reserved this on March 19, 2025. After attempting to get an early checkin on March 31 I saw on Facebook that it shut its doors on March 7. We were booked to arrive 4/1/2025 through 4/4/2025. I was charged and am attempting to get my money back.

Friendly service, conveniently located.
Pros:

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated but it located in a convenient location. Building felt safe and secure. Rooms were clean but the black-out curtains in our room wouldn't close all the way. The onsite restaurant/bar was closed so we had to go elsewhere for meals. Could hear traffic from the street, luckily I brought my white-noise machine or it would have been much worse. I would definitely stay again.

Zero communication
Pros:

When we arrived they shut down the hotel and we had to scramble to find another hotel during a very very busy weekend. There was no email or call to notify us that they were closing the hotel due to a judgement made by the court of St Louis.

Pros:

Arrived at The Last Hotel, St Louis to find it closed by court order. There was no notice or communication to the hotel guests, and I had to scramble for another room for 3 nights*.

Pros:

Honestly the hotel looked like it was haunted once you got up in the rooms. The ceiling didn’t appear to be finished, the wooden floors were creaking in the hall way, there was someone’s left over drink left by the chair in the room and also what appeared to me like a blood stain on the carpet. You could hear every single noise while in the room, even after asking to be moved to another room (which sounds like is a regular request at this hotel) it wasn’t any better. The atmosphere was just off! I checked out shortly after witnessing all this and stayed at the union station hotel instead. The staff was really friendly though.

Amazing staff, beautiful building
Pros:

The staff were endlessly kind and helpful, from the desk clerk, to the valet, to the friendly and helpful cleaning staff who got the door for me when my hands were full.

Pros:

Even the valet parking was just an open lot around the corner from the hotel. They said they check it a lot, but if there was a break-in, they'd only pay for glass. Valet rates have gone from $30 to $48 overnight and online, we only saw $30, which, to their credit, they would honor -- after a bit of discussion. Oddly, there was no waste basket in the entire room -- the shower was nice!

Pros:

BEAUTIFUL hotel. The staff were friendly. I see the potential. Love the views from the rooftop pool but hate that the bar area and restaurant was closed. In the downtown area so we walked around to get food. Bed was comfy. Enjoyed our stay.

Pros:

Nice hotel. Room was clean, staff was very friendly. The room was missing robes but that's okay. I'm sure if I called the front desk, they'd be provided. Great room for a great price.

Pros:

Checking in was great The front desk gentleman was awesome. However when I booked the room I was under the impression that there would be robes in the room when asked the front desk about them they said because of COVID they didn't do it covid has been 5 years I also wasn't under the impression with my booking that I was getting free breakfast I feel as if you guys need to update your policies and things online so people don't think they're booking things and don't get them.the room had food all over it under the bed it didn't look like my room was cleaned very good. Paying the price that I paid for a room I feel as if it should have been better
