Our stay at the DoubleTree in Durango is always a fantastic experience. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the location feels safe and is within easy walking distance of downtown. The staff is consistently welcoming and friendly, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Our kids especially love the indoor pool and watching the ducks along the river
Doubletree was THE perfect spot to stay in Durango for my friend’s 50th birthday celebration. We had the most beautiful riverside suite, lots of room to gather with a few friends, and have the best “staycation!” (We live in Durango.) The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and has such charm. My friends and I will be staying here for many 50th birthdays to come.
The property is rundown and not great. The river view rooms feel unsafe - the sliding doors feel very sketchy and open up to the pathway.
The only reason I gave them stars is, some of the staff is absolutely wonderful, such as the long-time restaurant waitress. The desk personnel and others are very cold and unpleasant.

The location was perfect. The patio overlooking the river was great. The kids enjoyed the space to play. There were ducks that came up to the door every time they saw us. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Overall it was a beautiful place.
The heater in our room didn’t work. It took three calls, two hours, and a trip to the front desk to get someone to check it out. They did work on it, and ended up giving us a space heater. Which worked and was fine.
They also didn’t honor the room type we booked. They explained that because we booked with a third party they can’t guarantee the room type, but happily let us upgrade to the room I had already expected to have.
The patio area had a decent amount of litter. Large things, like a lip liner and condom wrapper.
Our room was on the river and close to stroll.
There was nothing to not like
Breakfast was delicious, but should have been included

Should be included
Everything is in walking distance, I have stayed here for several years when working in the area.

Very good dinning selection
Very satisfying
View was great
cooling unit very loud
La réception avec un style très ancien hôtel
La taille de la chambre

l’emplacement de l’hôtel (proche commerces et centre ville)
Parking gratuit
Pas de buffet pour le petit déjeuner, très mauvais matelas pour le lit bébé
This is a great hotel that sits right on the Animas River. It’s a short walk into town where there are several great restaurants and shops. The Durango to Silverton narrow gauge railroad starts here and is also an easy walk. The “old west” feel in town is great but modern at the same time. It’s a great location to see lots of sites in this part of Colorado.
