San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk

Wonderful experience staying at this hotel! The staff here are truly exceptional—Tay, Katelyn and Seoyoung made the check-in process pleasant and effortless. When they found out that it was my birthday, they put us in a wonderful room with a great city view. Also, Michael was fantastic for giving us waters and information about the city. The hotel is extremely nice, but the staff are what make it truly amazing!

Great hotel, but absolutely terrible customer service. Paulette at the front desk was the rudest person ever. During the check out she did not answer any of my questions or just said “I don’t know”. Not something you would expect from the brand like Marriott.

Very nice and quiet hotel. Lots of things within walking distance to experience. Love the attached mall. Would definitely stay here again. It is a bit pricey but you do have all the convenience. The pool was ok but nothing extravagant compared to the rest of the hotel. Probably should revamp it.

Marriott River Center is my go to hotel while doing business in downtown San Antonio. Great service and convenient! Jeannie Cortez is the event manager and is such a pleasure to work with!!!

OT at River Center was the best!

Roffe made me one of the BEST Old Fashioned’s I’ve ever had. Delicious!

Only spent one night here on a quick business trip. First walked into another Marriott across the street; while this is a very large property I never felt overwhelmed, even when the lobby was filled with a large group. Was upgraded to a corner-ish room which seemed to have been recently redone and was in great condition.

Bed was comfy, furnishings were in good shape and room was laid-out well for its shape/size. Bathroom was also reno'd and while it looks good, the attractive Grohe-style wand/waterfall showerhead didn't produce as much pressure as desired, at least on the 28th floor. Personally I'm a fan of old-school Speakman heads that blast away.

Concierge lounge staff were all friendly, as was the case with everyone I encountered at the hotel. Rate was a screaming deal compared to other area hotels, and location on a "tributary" of the Riverwalk makes for a nice stroll to restaurants or just to kill time after dinner.

If bringing a car, you can park directly across the street in a city lot; I paid $10 overnight vs 4$5-60 at the hotel and having to wait for my car.

My work teammates and I had food and drinks in the Lobby bar on Monday, Feb 2nd. What a great bar they have! And what made it fantastic was the service! Dominique was our waitress and I must say, the best waitress I've seen in a long time! Very friendly, very engaging, and made everyone at our table love her and the bar. She is definitely an asset to that bar. We have another business meeting in San Antonio at the end of this month, and we are meeting there again, mostly due to the service Dominique provided. Food was great, drinks were better!!!

Roffee served us at the Bar. Shrimp tacos were really really good but Roffe was Excellent. The bar was Packed and insanely busy with a convention but he made us feel like the only people there. Give this man a raise he will definitely keep people coming back.

Seoyoung was great I was out of here on vacation and wasn't sure about what to do where to go as far as the hotel was concerned. She made it easy! And I wanted to stay another night and she said no problem! Unfortunately because of the snow I had to leave a day earlier driving back to Cincinnati!

Great experience over all. Building is old but well maintained. Biggest plus is the location and vicinity with top attractions near riverwalk . What stood out the most was the service , the people working there are the biggest reason you would select this hotel over any other hotels in downtown . Special shout out to “Willis”,along with his team. That man deserves a raise for his dedication and hard work . The service provided by them is what stood out for me and will be the reason I book this hotel again .

Maddie our waitress was amazing at the downstairs restaurant. Food was fabulous! Thank you Maddie and chef for a great experience.

Didn't have any breakfast but the location of the hotel is in a great spot.
