The room is clean and neat. Basic amenities are provided ( minus the tooth brush set).
Breakfast spread is good. Many varieties.
Location is excellent. Link to COEX and metro, buses can be easily reached. One of the Airport Limousine Bus terminals so commuting to and fro from Incheon Airport is very convenient.
Staff are friendly.
On the whole, a good hotel.
Excellent hotel. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. All the room amenities were absolutely excellent. Breakfast buffet had a lot of selections between continental and Korean/asian dishes. Location was ideal for conference. Lots of local shopping (it sits on top off and adjacent to a mall) as well and places to eat. Had a work dinner at Weu Lou the in house restaurant... excellent Chinese food/presentation 5/5.
朝食が種類豊富で最高でした。駅から近くCOEXモールも直結なので楽しく過ごせました
This is our go to hotel for our annual girls beauty shopping trip to Seoul from Hawaii. They never disappoint. Beautiful affordable luxury with superior service! Super convenient location and amenities.
It’s connected to underground shopping and two huge malls so it doesn’t matter if it’s freezing or 100% humidity outside.
This year was extra special though. Upon checking in the front desk noticed that I would be staying during my birthday and presented me with champagne and a teddy bear!!! Such a wonderful surprise. A few days later a beautiful birthday cake and card was presented in the room! This was beyond anything I had experienced before especially since I felt we were already getting amazing deal on the nightly cost.
We wake up to the most amazing breakfast buffet, access the weather and decide to venture out or explore underground. We always make reservations at the Chinese restaurant at least one day in advance to ensure we get the Peking Duck. We know the many concierge because they’re always so helpful with translation and logistics.
We’ve stayed in much more expensive places but always come back here because of the value and comfort and how it makes us feel. Highly recommend if you’re in the area or in the fence at all.

We stayed four nights in InterContinental Grand Seoul Parnas.
As always, we have been very happy with the venue and the friendliness of all staff. Food was great, Club Lounge was very well organized.
Must also mention the gym. It was excellent.
Looking forward to coming back.
Thank you all.
Amazing team. I felt pampered from the moment we stepped onto the property. The hotel is beautiful and luxurious. Jake the hospitality manager and his team were all so attentive and helped us manage our daily itinerary. Since we spoke little Korean this service was incredibly valuable. Our experience was delightful, memorable, and delicious! We went to all the places suggested by the team and they scored 100 out of 100. Thank you for a lovely stay.
The overall feeling is okay, though there are a few points that are unsatisfactory. First, I booked the hotel using FHR but didn't upgrade my room, and there weren't many guests staying; there were still plenty of empty rooms available. Next, the types and flavors of breakfast were rather ordinary, leaving little room for choice and not tasty, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the $125 voucher given by the hotel is rather weak and there's nowhere else to use it.
I have stayed in this property before in the late 1990's so it was a pleasant surprise that the rooms as well as the club lounge was completely updated. We stayed in the Grand Suite, although it was not really a suite as I normally experience in a five star property...it was essentially one large room with bed on one side and a living area with a couple of couches at the other end. Another rather strange feature of the room is that the sliding door between the bathroom area and the bedroom area is semi-transparent, which means whenever someone goes to the bathroom at night the whole room is illuminated. The most outstanding part of staying at the club level is the club lounge. When we arrived, we were just in time for the afternoon/high tea which was exceptional. The cocktail hour at the lounge was the most extensive of any property we have experienced. In addition to a nice light buffet, the wait staff came around to take orders on a proper main dinner dish, which was very good, and the choices changed every night. The breakfast was also exceptional with the wait staff coming around to take orders on anything you wanted. One downside of this was that we rarely needed to go out to eat, instead choosing to go eat in the club lounge because the food was so good. Before this experience, our favorite hotel in Seoul was the Four Seasons..but the Intercontinental is now on our list as one of the top hotels in Seoul, in large part due to the club lounge. Of course, one of the best features of the hotel is the location with many shopping areas and extensive restaurants nearby. One additional pointer if you are a cigar smoker, in the basement of the Park Hyatt across the street (where we have stayed before as well) next to the bar is a small smoking room...not exactly a cigar bar but better than smoking in the designated area outside.
Outstanding hotel in every way - rooms, staff, food ,location. This is a beautiful hotel with indoor access to the COEX mall, and staff that is so helpful at every turn. Great spa too!
I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Parnas in Seoul for 3 nights, and my experience was disappointing. While the evnironment was relaxing and the room itself was comfortable, several significant issues arose during my stay.
1) I was required to purchase a swim cap to access the pool, first time for me, particularly given that the pool was shared with club members (not guests) and old people undergoing physiotherapy.
As a bald individual, I have never been required to wear a swim cap worldwide. When I raised this, the staff shared the hotel’s policy without offering any alternative solution.
To make it worse, a staff member even approached me to visually confirm that I had no hair, which I found to be in poor taste and discriminatory.
2) The concierge team was unable to provide accurate directions. A staff member turned the computer screen toward me, displaying a webpage in Korean, despite that I do not speak the language.
3)
The air purifier and coffee machine in my room were not functioning. I attempted to report the issue to the reception, but my call went unanswered, and I never received a follow up.
Essential items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided complimentary, as is standard in hotels of this standing.
4)
Upon arrival, the concierge initially asked me to carry my own luggage to my room. Only afterward did they offer to assist, which is not the level of service one would expect from a hotel of this standing.
5)
Upon returning to my room, I discovered that my key card had been removed from its designated slot, which powers the room’s electricity. As a result, my phone and laptop, which were charging, lost power. This caused significant inconvenience, as I had to redo a substantial portion of my work.
6)
The Hotel may be suitable for business travelers who require only a brief overnight stay and have minimal need for additional services. However, it is not recommended for couples, families, or business travelers seeking a relaxing multi-day stay or those looking to explore the city. The additional services come at a high cost (e.g., breakfast priced at €50) and are not delivered effectively (e.g., unhelpful concierge service).
In summary, while the hotel has potential, the execution of its services and attention to guest needs fell well below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel for those seeking a comfortable and hassle-free experience.
Always satisfied with everything that Hotel offers.
We've recently visited Westin Parnas near hear, but We found out that InterContinental is more luxurious!
The Grand Intercontinental Seoul in Gangnam is a huge luxury hotel above the Coex shopping mall. My room was spacious, very clean and had all amenities you can wish for. I loved the toiletries by Byredo ( Bal Afrique), Nespresso machine and the comfortable bed. I was surprised that there was no turn down service as it is a 5 star hotel and although I didn't need it, it would have been nice if it was asked. Breakfast buffet was also very tasty although I found the selection of bread a bit poor and also more choices of cheese would have been appreciated. Overall it was a good stay.
The amenities were great. From the front staff to housekeeping, every personnel we encountered were polite. Most were very professional and seemed very “corporate”. Other 5 star resorts we’ve stayed at greeted us by Mr and Mrs, and made it very personal.
My husband really liked the down comforter in the room. And having a double sink in the bathroom was a plus.
The location was very convenient as it is attached to the Coex, Starfield Library and the Hyundai Dept Store. It was nice using it as a passage way to other parts of Gangnam.
