Lakeside Inn Illawarra

What a great place to stay, right on the shores of Lake Illawarra with views of the escarpment. The cabins were appropriate and clean, staff were friendly and the restaurant offered great meals with a quaint atmosphere alongside the gift shop. I'll be back.

Good price and good location. Free parking,smart tv and wifi. The bed is a little hard and the blinds don't come all the way so privacy is a bit impacted.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Almost everything about this place was misleading or a complete lie. The photos and descriptions online do not match reality at all. The room was in terrible condition—dirty, uncomfortable, and poorly maintained. Basic facilities were either broken, missing, or nothing like what had been promised. The staff were unhelpful, and instead of solving problems, they just gave excuses.

It honestly felt like every detail had been exaggerated or fabricated just to lure guests in. I have stayed in many places before, but this was by far the most ridiculous and disappointing. I left feeling frustrated, cheated, and completely dissatisfied. I would never return and strongly recommend others to stay away from this hotel.

No internet could not use tv. Microwave stop/start. Slippery shower floor. Design needs improving as bedroom way too small making it hard to get into bed. Sorry dissappointed.

The location was incredible. The cabins themselves were a little worse for wear. They are also pretty close together. But the service was excellent, the facilities were adequate, the locals lovely and the gift shop was an exciting addition!

The hotel was a nice place to stay, most of the staff were friendly except for one staff member who gave a rude reaction when I mentioned where I was from, it felt like I was being judged for where I live,that tarnished the stay just a bit

I was not impressed with the room we were allocated, I unfortunately was given a room that hadn’t yet been renovated. The staff were exceptional and were prompt to assist. Due to feeling so unsafe we did not stay the second night and found alternative accommodation and received a partial refund for the second night.

I was under the impression that from the pictures we were staying in a cabin and ended in a motel room with a very warn bathroom that was clean. Towels weren’t changed daily.

Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble.. my 4 stars for facilities is because the pool was closed and I wish it had been advertised to save a childs upset, but we'll be back it was a short lived disappointment.. we should have checked. Thanks😊

The office staff were courteous and called to confirm our arrival time. The place was very quiet, probably one of the most quietest places we have stayed with no noise from the main road or patrons. Couldn’t sleep in though due to cleaning cart rattling along out the front back and forth by 8:30am and door bell every time someone walked into the restaurant. Rooms were spacious yet bathrooms were tired and in need of maintenance. Rust visible from rooms and bathrooms on the walls. Beds were comfortable and had a great night sleep.
