I stayed here for 3 nights in March 2026 and unfortunately I was not at all impressed with the facility. I should say however, that the staff here were tremendously friendly and accommodating and really tried to fix the issues they could. The facility and staffing just aren't well enough supported. The light over the sink in my room and my TV both didn't work when I checked in (both were fixed the next day at my request) and there were packages of plastic silverware and toothbrushes left in the drawers from a previous guest (and open packets of coffee sugar etc also left out). I ate at the lobby restaurant 3 times and each time they didn't have multiple items on the menu and/or the previous shift hadn't done the prep needed leading to extended wait times for my food (which when it arrived was quite good however). The water dispenser in the work out room didn't work either. Although I appreciated the staff attempts to remedy what they could, I will not be staying here again.
Easy check in, great staff
Shower was almost unusable unfortunately didn't realize till morning of checkout. Front desk was apologetic. Overall just needs a tad more cleaning. No breakfast buffet during the week was disappointing.
Bathroom shower door was bad. No repair after mentioning
Food service
There were plenty of shops within a short distance
The only con I have is that we booked 2 rooms with 1 king bed and 1 double pull out couch. They only had King beds and a chair. Not the best situation but it could have been worse I guess.
From the minute we walked in the door from the early check in to the friendly staff the stay exceeded out expectations .
We entered the room to see a lamp shade missing on one of the lights next to the bed. I opened the door to the cabinet that holds the refrigerator & the handle was broken on the bottom of the cabinet. I requested a wake up call at 5:00am and never got it. I am disappointed that this chain of hotels are this sloppy with their rooms. This wake up call was very important to me and I relied on it.
Staff, EXCELLENT..friendly, efficient, very concerned that I was taken care off. Fun to interact with them
Semi clean. Lamps & coffee maker needs dusting.
Comfortable rooms, great staff, disappointing courtyard
This is an older Courtyard, and not was you expect when thinking ‘Courtyard by Marriott’. It was more like a Best Western. My pillows were old and lumpy, and bed very uncomfortable.
It was clean. But there are some general condition flags - the ice machine was out of order; a door I went out on the main floor was broken and did not lock(!); while we appreciated being able to open the balcony door and get the fresh air (air in the room was kinda stale) - there was no lock or bar on that door (often there's a stick that can keep the door sliding open). There was no milk for coffee at the bistro in the morning (there's a grocery practically within sight of the hotel.). So. Ok.
Do not stay here. I would not recommend. First red flag we called this hotel probably 4 times as we were enroute to ask a question. NO answer and we tried multiple numbers. When we arrived the woman at the front desk was so rude I was taken aback. We were requesting a place to store our bicycles as we had several pieces of luggage we needed to place in the room. We were going to the National Park nearby which had broadcast theft of vehicles was a problem so we wanted to remove what we could from our vehicle. Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. The room had holes in the wall and the bathroom was filthy. Food from a previous guest was in the mini-fridge. Neither of the outlets connected to bedside pendant lamps worked. The sound of the TV does not match the picture. Later we figured out why no one was answering the phone. As we returned from dinner we noticed the front desk clerk was sitting in her car outside the hotel!! She stepped out and asked, rudely, if we were checking in. When we replied no we had already checked in with her an hour before she returned to her car. Marriott should be ashamed. The other thing I find troubling is my inability to leave a review on Marriott’s website even though my Bonvoy account shows the stay. It has this on the email receipt “If you have any questions, please contact the hotel at the phone number in the attached folio.” Which I find hilarious since no one answers their phones. The next night we stayed at a Comfort hotel property and it was 100x better than this place.
No breakfast. period. Not so much that it was not included in the room cost but when I tried to order they had nothing on their menu. out of everything...even coffee. no wonder I was the only one there
Everyone was very accommodating and we really enjoyed the gym and pool!
Easy check in and clean
I stayed at this hotel in Akron for 1 night because all hotels in Cleveland were sold out for various events and I was attending a conference in Independence. Anyway, it’s safe, clean and the staff is welcoming. The pool looked clean but I didn’t have time to use it. Unfortunately I didn’t sleep too well because I heard people walking on the floor above very loudly somehow. But it’s a safe place and like I said clean. They gave plenty of towels in the bathroom and not many hotels will do that. There’s a microwave in the lobby but the rooms have a mini fridge. I called to let the front desk know in advance at booking that I wouldn’t be there till 10:00 pm and my room was held for me and was available when I arrived. Would stay again if needed.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The lobby was clean and smelled musty. Rooms were ready at designated time.
I was did not know up front that it was a cashless facility and when I tried to pay with cash I was told “this is a cashless facility.” There was no “ I am sorry but this is a cashless facility. Or when we checked in no one said “Btw this a cashless facility so if you want to make any purchases you will need to put it on a card or your room”.
The info upfront would have made for a better place to stay.
The staff was wonderful.
